Aviation design studio SkyStyle has unveiled its first yacht concept, the sporty 71m (233ft) superyacht ‘Unique 71’.
Its first venture into the world of marine design has an unusual profile for a yacht of its size, with a clean and rapidly descending front line and a sharp, vertical bow. It also makes use of what the design studio is calling “unprecedented technologies”.
The bow is the defining characteristic, designed to cut through the water to maximum effect, giving a top speed of 30 knots and a cruising speed of 25 knots. Other standout features include a 65m square (700 sq. ft) skylounge sundeck with a jacuzzi, a large pool with a bordering “relaxing area”, a gym, sauna, 12 seat theater and a billiard and bar room.
The interior is marked by generous, transparent surfaces with regulatable opacity, and there is both a lift and wraparound central staircase for quick and easy movement between the four decks. The concept can accommodate 12 guests including a dedicated Owner’s deck with an illuminated ceiling that can automatically open.
SkyStyle is a design studio with offices in USA, Spain and Argentina. It’s primary focus is on conceptual aviation design and it includes Boeing amongst its clients. The studio has picked up honors at the International Yacht & Aviation Awards in both 2018 and 2019.
