Boutique Marinas: The Luxury Berths of the Superyacht

Visibility, both in terms of seeing and being seen, is often a crucial aspect of superyacht ownership. The emergence of the boutique marina concept provides a captivating glimpse into the berthing of the world's largest yachts in all the right places.

A luxury yacht marina contributes to an exclusive and prestigious atmosphere, perfectly aligning with the image and lifestyle that many superyacht owners seek. More than just a mooring location, it serves as a statement of status, offering premium services and facilities. It also creates a social and networking environment that meets the expectations of superyacht owners and the world’s largest yachts.

From the charming little marina of Capri, on Italy's Amalfi coast, accommodating just 10 superyachts, to the meticulously designed marinas jostling for space in major capitals, the superyacht marina epitomizes excellence in service and holds a pinnacle position in the exclusive world of luxury yachts and the yachting community.

We take a dip into the world of luxury superyacht marinas.

The Designer

Mallorca, Spain

In 2010, renowned Parisian designer and architect Philippe Starck introduced Marina Port Adriano on the southwest coast of Mallorca, Spain's Balearic Islands capital. His first marina project, Starck's vision was to redefine urbanism, blurring the boundaries between port and boats, sea and land. Pioneering in its approach to sustainability, the marina prioritized CO2 emission reduction and features an underground car park for logistical efficiency without compromising the scenic beauty of the space.

Starck's visionary concept transformed Adriano into a bustling village, introducing luxury brands, concept stores, exclusive boutiques, and top-tier gastronomy to this serene island enclave.

The marina is a cultural hub, hosting a variety of events, from world-class concerts and street food festivals to classic car shows and sailing regattas.

Every aspect of the marina reflects a smart and elevated approach. Even the mooring bollards were designed by Starck.
