Jack is YachtBuyer's Reviews Director. He is a writer, editor and presenter with 15 years’ experience testing over 350 motorboats of all shapes and sizes, from 20ft RIBs to 120ft yachts (and even the Royal Navy Frigate HMS Sutherland).
Formerly Deputy Editor of Motor Boat & Yachting magazine, where he was in charge of boat testing, Jack also judged and hosted the Motor Boat Awards for over a decade.
Jack was behind the helm from a young age, his father desperate for someone to be able to drive their White Shark so he could waterski behind it. He has been boating in Poole Harbour and along England’s south coast ever since and can still be found messing around behind Brownsea Island or in Studland Bay aboard his XO 250.
As well as testing boats, Jack has also skippered a variety of power and sailing craft around the Mediterranean and North America and was once rescued from a beached boat by a crowd of nudists, but he doesn't like to talk about that...
