  • Full beam master suite
  • Foredeck sun bathing area
  • Impressive 6,000 nautical mile range

Design & Construction

Designed around a full displacement composite hull and superstructure she features a 9.58m beam and a 2.7m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 498 GT (Gross Tonnes).

This was the one hundred fiftieth yacht built on the Custom design. The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards.

Exterior Design

The exterior design of the Scorpio is both functional and elegant. The yacht features a clipper bow, providing a classic and timeless appearance. The deck is crafted from high-quality teak, known for its durability and resistance to harsh marine environments. The yacht’s hull and superstructure are painted white, giving it a clean and sleek look. A black boot top and below the waterline color add a sharp contrast, enhancing its visual appeal.

The sun deck is equipped with a spa pool, sunpads, refrigerator, ice-maker, and a changing room. The main deck aft is shaded and can be enclosed with sliding side-screens and doors, providing flexible shelter and access to the bathing platform. The teak-decked foredeck, isolated by the full-beam master stateroom, offers cushioned seating for privacy.

Scorpio is fitted with two stainless steel Maxwell windlasses to manage the anchors' chain lengths. The lazarette serves as the engineer's office and control room, also providing storage for scuba gear.

Interior Design

Scorpio's interior design showcases a practical and high-quality approach. The interior is clad with raised and fielded paneling made of rich Honduras mahogany, providing a warm and traditional feel. The craftsmen have utilized this exquisite wood throughout the yacht, ensuring consistency and a sense of cohesion.

The entrance lobby, located amidships on the starboard side, serves as a central point, granting access to all areas of the yacht. The lobby features detailed paneling, carefully selected artwork, and a green verde gioia marble floor, setting a straightforward yet refined tone.

Moving aft from the lobby, guests pass through the dining saloon into the main saloon. The main saloon includes a traditionally-beamed ceiling, glass-fronted bookshelves, a marble-topped bar, and bold Georgian-stripe and ruby red upholstery. Large windows provide ample natural light, while table lamps and overhead lighting create a comfortable atmosphere during the evening.

In the dining saloon, the furniture includes a mahogany dining table surrounded by ten period chairs. An Empire-style ormolu-mounted sideboard with marble columns and a marble-topped sideboard for crockery and cutlery storage are also present. The dining area is dominated by a seascape by Westendorp, contributing to a straightforward yet elegant environment.

The upper saloon, positioned between the bridge and boat deck, offers comfortable seating, bookcases, and excellent views. This area maintains a similar ambiance to the main saloon but on a more intimate scale.

At the helm, functionality is prioritized. The bridge features a Recaro helmsman's chair, Furuno ARPA radars, Anschutz autopilot, IIS monitoring system, Transas chart plotter, forward-scanning sonar, and a mast-mounted thermal imaging camera. The captain’s cabin is conveniently located just aft of the radio room, ensuring quick access.

Accommodation

Scorpio can host up to 10 guests across five cabins, ensuring ample space and privacy for everyone on board. The master suite, located on the main deck forward, spans the full beam of the yacht. It features a king-sized bed, a writing desk, and a full audio-video entertainment suite. The suite also includes ample wardrobes for storage. The master bathroom is designed with elegance in mind, showcasing green marble, rich mahogany cabinet-work, and murals. It is divided into separate compartments for the lady and the man, with a centrally positioned shower compartment and an oval spa bath.

Scorpio's guest accommodations are situated on the lower deck, comprising four cabins: three doubles and one twin. Each cabin has its unique design and blends luxury with functionality. The VIP cabin includes a spacious bathroom equipped with a full spa bath and shower. The other two double cabins offer a choice between double or twin beds and feature bathrooms with baths, though without spa facilities. The fourth guest cabin is a double with a shower.

Scorpio also provides accommodation for a crew of eight, ensuring that service and operations run smoothly. The crew quarters consist of four double cabins, each with an en-suite head and shower. Additionally, the crew area includes a laundry room and a crew mess with its own galley, allowing the crew to perform their duties efficiently while enjoying comfortable living conditions.
