Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 18m beam and a 5.7m draft. The yacht is built over 5 decks with an internal volume of 6,700 GT (Gross Tonnes). The design also incorporates a heli-pad.
Construction started in mid 2015 with the keel laid under the project name 'Kleven 116'. Launched in March 2016 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in June 2018.
Exterior Design
Embodying the essence of rugged elegance, the Multiverse yacht stands as a testament to the fusion of luxury and functionality. Her exterior, a masterful creation by the New Zealand-based naval architect Kyle Dick of Oscar Mike, showcases a harmonious balance between sleek lines and robust, expedition-ready features. The design ethos reflects a readiness to conquer the most remote and challenging seas, while simultaneously offering the sumptuous comforts demanded by the discerning traveler.
The vessel's substantial 18-meter beam supports a steel hull and aluminum superstructure, combining strength with a lighter top to ensure stability and seaworthiness. The exterior design by Marin Teknikk complements this blend of form and function, with a profile that is both commanding and graceful.
The Multiverse's ability to navigate the polar regions is evidenced by her covered side decks and enclosed wing stations, which provide protection against harsh elements. Climate-controlled heli-garage ensures safe storage and easy access to the Bell 429 helicopter, a feature that is not only practical for exploration but also adds an element of prestige.
Partially recessed balconies offer guests a unique vantage point to take in the breathtaking vistas while maintaining privacy and shelter. The yacht's deck layout has been meticulously planned to accommodate an impressive fleet of six tenders, including a standout 20-meter Princess, and a custom 68-foot tender prominently positioned on the foredeck, reinforcing her stature as a vessel designed for autonomy and adventure.
Further enhancing her exploratory capabilities, Multiverse boasts two extended viewing decks located just below the crow's nest and ahead of the wheelhouse, providing panoramic views of the ocean and the yacht's surroundings. The synthetic teak decking lends a touch of traditional yachting aesthetic, seamlessly integrated with the modern design elements of the yacht.
Interior Design
From the wine bar, which houses an exquisite selection of the finest vintages, to the expansive swimming pool that invites guests to bask in leisure and relaxation, every amenity has been considered for pleasure and comfort. The cinema offers an intimate setting for guests to enjoy the latest films or to relive classic moments in film history, while the sauna provides a retreat for rejuvenation after a day of adventure.
For those who prioritize wellness, even while at sea, the spacious gym is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, catering to the fitness needs of guests and crew alike. The careful consideration of communal and private spaces ensures that there is a perfect balance between social interaction and personal retreat.
While the full details of the Multiverse's interior remain shrouded in a degree of secrecy, it is without doubt that RWD's custom design work has resulted in an interior that promises a life of unparalleled luxury and adventure on the high seas.
