First Look: Interior Renderings Revealed of Future World's Largest Yacht, REV Ocean

The unveiling of interior renderings for the 95m superyacht REV Ocean offers a glimpse into the fusion of luxury and scientific innovation aboard what is set to become the world's largest yacht.

Designed by the renowned Espen Øino, with interiors crafted by H2 Yacht Design, REV Ocean is poised to raise the standards of oceanic exploration and opulence.

Construction on the 19,235GT REV Ocean began over eight years ago, and despite modifications along the way, Vard has confirmed that the vessel’s original vision remains unchanged. Enhancements have been made to improve functionality, including a 12-metre amidships extension to increase buoyancy and the replacement of some steel components with lighter materials. The yacht’s layout has also been reconfigured, creating more space and greater scientific capacity in the main hangar to support its research missions.

Interior Design Philosophy

Jonny Horsfield, founder of H2 Yacht Design, emphasizes a departure from traditional superyacht aesthetics, opting instead for a design that reflects the vessel's dual purpose of research and luxury.

Her design ethos enables the spaces to be practical for scientific endeavors but also inviting for guests. This balance is evident in the yacht’s cinema, which features tiered plush seating, ambient lighting, and state-of-the-art audiovisual technology. The design incorporates modern geometric wall panels and a sleek curved ceiling, creating an immersive viewing experience.
