Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement w/ bulbous bow steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 27'11" beam and a 7'10" draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 358 GT (Gross Tonnes).

This was the first yacht built on the Ducale 120 design. Launched in March 2023 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months.

Exterior Design

Vayus features a solid swim platform that serves as a versatile area for water activities and relaxation. The adjacent pool, notable for its glass stern and embedded name, adds a touch of class while maintaining the vessel's sturdy nature. The yacht's deck is designed for adaptability, allowing for the removal of extensions during navigation, ensuring the pool area integrates smoothly with the overall deck layout.

The staircase leading to the cockpit is not only aesthetically pleasing but also exemplifies the yacht's commitment to accessibility and safety. Vayus includes the convenience of a passerelle on the port side, and integrated stairs that provide direct access to technical spaces without compromising the symmetry and functionality of the design.

The yacht's cockpit is an open canvas, inviting owners to personalize the space to their liking, whether at harbor or anchor. The use of loose furniture on the flybridge offers flexibility in layout, catering to different activities and social settings. The presence of large capstans and oversized bollards underscores the yacht's readiness for serious maritime endeavors.

Moving up to the sundeck, Vayus continues to impress with its well-appointed amenities, including a Jacuzzi, a proper wine cooler, and ample lounge areas that take advantage of the yacht's stunning views. The integration of a subwoofer into the deck design demonstrates attention to detail and a dedication to creating an immersive entertainment environment.

The bridge deck of Vayus presents a spacious area that can be adapted for various uses. This space is thoughtfully designed to allow for both open-air enjoyment and the option to be enclosed for climate-controlled comfort. Practicality is woven into every aspect of the design, with a pantry, service areas, and convenient crew access ensuring smooth operation and guest satisfaction.

Vayus is characterized by an intelligent use of space, material selection, and lighting to create an environment that is both professional and welcoming.

Interior Design

Upon entering the salon, the open-plan layout immediately communicates the vessel's dedication to spaciousness. The minimalistic furniture arrangement, consisting of a sizable L-shaped settee and a formal dining area, serves both form and function without excess. A floating glass desk offers a contemporary touch, while the large windows afford expansive views of the surrounding seascape.

The use of materials throughout Vayus is deliberate and thoughtful. Wall finishes in Alcantara provide a tactile experience that is visually pleasing, while the sparing use of wood in areas such as the walk-in closet adds warmth without clutter. This balance of textures ensures that the interior does not overwhelm but rather complements the maritime environment.

The helm is an exemplar of the yacht's professional ethos. Equipped with state-of-the-art navigation systems, the area is laid out with efficiency in mind. Forward raked windows offer optimal visibility and minimize glare, enhancing the practicality of the space. The dark brown color scheme of the helm, contrasted with black seating, is both functional, reducing reflections, and aesthetically consistent with the yacht's overall design language.

The galley, designed to meet the rigorous demands of culinary professionals, is fitted with commercial-grade appliances and features stainless steel countertops. Practicality is paramount here, with ample refrigeration, a combination oven, and an induction cooktop ensuring that meal preparation is executed with precision. The layout is open and accessible, allowing for seamless movement within the space.

Accommodation

Vayus can host up to 10 guests, offering a range of cabin selections to meet the needs of those on board. The yacht houses an impressive owner suite, which is a hallmark of its thoughtful design. This suite typically provides an expansive and serene space, often boasting a king-sized bed and large windows that invite natural light and offer views of the surrounding seascape. The en-suite bathroom is designed to provide a spa-like experience, with fine finishes and ample space for relaxation.

Complementing the owner's cabin are two VIP cabins, which are crafted for comfort and are likely to offer additional amenities suitable for guests of distinction. These cabins are designed to cater to the needs of VIP guests, providing them with a comfortable and private space to relax. Additionally, Vayus contains two double cabins.

For the crew, Vayus is equipped to accommodate up to seven members. The crew quarters are separate from the guest areas, enabling the crew to have their own dedicated space while still being readily available to attend to guests' needs and maintain the smooth operation of the yacht.

Performance & Capabilities

Vayus operates with robust efficiency, thanks to its twin diesel MAN (D2862 LE435) engines, each producing 1,184 horsepower. This powertrain enables Vayus to achieve a top speed of 14 knots. The vessel is designed for comfortable cruising at a consistent speed of 12 knots, ensuring a smooth experience for passengers during their voyages.

With expansive fuel tanks holding up to 50,000 liters, Vayus boasts an impressive range. The yacht can cover a distance of up to 5,500 nautical miles without the need for refueling, making it well-suited for extended journeys across the seas.

Amenities

The yacht can house plenty of nautical toys and accessories, with a well-appointed tender garage for storing her impressive locker. Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort. The sundeck is the social hub of the yacht and an inviting spread of sunpads.
