MY Vanadis is first Italian vessel to get hybrid power certification

CCN have announced the global premiere of MY Vanadis. The highly anticipated debut has attracted industry attention as she is the first Italian vessel to have obtained the Lloyd’s Register’s Hybrid Power certification.

Running from the 10th until the 15th of September, the Cannes Yachting Festival will host the world premiere in front of thousands of industry experts, journalists and yachting enthusiasts from around the globe.

Located at Stand SYE044, Vanadis is the fourth hull of CCN's Fuoriserie range and measures up at 31 metres.

Working closely alongside LR, CCN and Siemens, Vanadis has been carefully constructed to meet all the specified standards set by Lloyd's Register's Rules and Regulations in order to attain the Hybrid Power certification.

In order to complete the necessary instalments, the design team have run an extensive analysis looking at all risks and operating systems to produce safe and reliable solutions onboard.

M/Y Vanadis is the first yacht launched in Italy to be certified as a ‘Hybrid Power’ craft by the Lloyd’s Register. Such an accomplishment makes our shipyard extremely proud, and strengthens CCN’s reputation as a Company ensuring top flexibility, quality and innovation.

Powered by a pair of CAT C9.3 B engines, Vanadis can reach a maximum speed of 12.5 knots with a comfortable cruising speed of 8 knots in electric mode.

Capable of operating under diesel, diesel and electric or just electric, the vessel produces minimal emissions plus reduced noise and vibrations both at anchor and when cruising.

Some AKASOL lithium-ion batteries (175 kWh) are also installed to supply most onboard utilities which means that the vessel can run at zero emissions for 17 consecutive hours while at anchor.

Exteriors, including the roomy flybridge, are tailored to al fresco living and feature multiple seating locations for relaxing and socialising in the sun. Sun loungers and a fully equipped bar with al fresco dining option adorn the flybridge and a swim platform with 5.5 metre tender allwos guests to make the most of the surrounding waters.

Interiors have been completely custom designed for the new owner and take on a modern twist of Jugendstile Interior. A spacious salon on the main deck is decorated in light tones with bleached oak and walnut woods, with an abundance of natural light adding extra emphasis to the space.

The timeless light and natural tones continue in to the overnight areas on the lower deck with a layout comprising of a master cabin plus two guest cabins.

After making her premiere at Cannes, Vanadis will continue on to the Monaco Yacht Show between the 25th and 28th of September.
