Arcadia Yachts History & Heritage
A relatively new boutique yard based in Italy’s south, near Napoli, Arcadia has formed an enviable reputation for building very good boats in a very short time.
The first Arcadia rolled off the production line in 2009, the A85 debuted at Dusseldorf Boat Show and was immediately lauded for its keen eco-credentials and excellent build, picking up several yachting awards for design and innovation.
The A85 was followed by two larger, though still eco-focused yachts, the A105 and A115, Arcadia creating a range of serious cruising superyachts like no other.
After a period of consolidation Arcadia’s development continued in typically avant-garde fashion. The Sherpa range was launched in 2018, creating a faster more robust looking yacht with the emphasis on deck lifestyle.
The wonderfully chunky 18m Sherpa was first out, joined by the 24m Sherpa XL in 2019. The latter offering an award-winning mix of deck luxury and interior space.
Arcadia has come a long way in its first decade, where it will go is open to conjecture but wherever it is you can guarantee it will be refreshingly different and built to enjoy.
