Design & Construction

Designed around a full displacement aluminium hull and superstructure she features a 10.88m beam and a 8.1m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 357 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Exterior Design

Athos presents a sleek and modern profile, while retaining elements of classic sailing yachts.

The hull, crafted with a steel body and aluminum superstructure, features a clipper bow and an elegant stern, which has been extended by 1.25 meters to offer additional space and utility. This extension provides guests with an expanded stern deck area, complete with amenities such as a fridge and ice maker. The deck layout has been configured to allow for an unobstructed flow from the owner's private cockpit to the communal areas, enhancing the practicality of movement on board.

The main deck area is now centered around a large cockpit that can accommodate significant gatherings, with a dining table suitable for up to 16 guests. This space is also surrounded by new sunning areas, equipped with cushions for guests to lounge comfortably. The addition of a new deckhouse forward of the main mast has shifted the navigation station and secondary helm from the main deckhouse, providing a dedicated space for the crew and increasing operational efficiency.

The yacht's exterior design reflects a purposeful approach, combining improved functionality with a clean aesthetic. Athos is a vessel built for adventure, equipped to handle the demands of a round-the-world journey while offering comfort and practical luxury to its guests and crew.

Athos, a 62-metre modern two-mast schooner, stands out with her extended stern, new slender booms, and carbon rigging, optimized for adventurous global voyages.

Interior Design

The use of quality materials such as tiger mahogany for the trim and white marble for surfaces is evident throughout the vessel. These choices reflect a commitment to durability and a clean, classic look.

In the guest-centric deck saloon, one finds a bar topped with white marble, offering a focal point for social interaction. The light-colored upholstery of the sofas provides a contrast to the rich wood tones around the windows, creating a balanced and inviting space for entertainment and relaxation.

The main saloon is designed with guest comfort in mind, with a unified level layout that facilitates movement and interaction. The area is equipped with a state-of-the-art entertainment system, ensuring that guests have access to multimedia options during their stay.

The galley is outfitted with white Corian work surfaces and ample natural lighting, providing a pleasant and efficient workspace for the preparation of meals. The division between the galley and the lower salon is achieved through a new bulkhead, improving the flow between crew service areas and guest spaces.

The media room, separate from the galley, is furnished with comfortable seating and updated lighting. Bookshelves have been installed, enhancing the functionality of the room as a place for guests to unwind with a book or enjoy the entertainment systems.

Accommodation

Athos is designed to host up to 10 guests within its five well-appointed suites. The configuration comprises a dedicated owner's cabin, two double cabins for guests, and a twin cabin, each crafted to provide a comfortable and private space for guests. The living quarters are finished with high-quality materials and are furnished to cater to the needs of those staying on board.

The owner's suite offers a well-positioned bed to optimize space and provide optimal comfort. The suite includes his-and-hers en suites, ensuring convenience and privacy. A walk-in wardrobe and seating area complement the space. Soft carpeting, additional portholes for natural light, and a soundproof door are among the features that contribute to an atmosphere of calm.

Each guest cabin aboard Athos feature light prisms to brighten the space. Unique joinery is a feature in each cabin.

Athos is also equipped to accommodate up to 10 crew members, ensuring that every guest's need is attended to with the highest level of service.

Performance & Capabilities

Athos's sail plan has been optimized with new furling booms that are more slender than their predecessors, contributing to the yacht's visual appeal and improving sail handling. The switch from PBO to carbon rigging has enhanced sailing performance and reliability.

Athos has two robust Volvo diesel engines (D16C-A MH EVC), each producing 651 horsepower. This enables Athos to achieve a peak speed of 17 knots. Her cruising speed is set at a comfortable 12 knots.
