The multi-award winning 42.28m motor yacht Fabulous Character was delivered to her owners in 2010 by Dutch shipyard Holland Jachtbouw. Her naval architecture and exterior design comes from the drawing boards of Langan Design, while Rhoades Young is responsible for her interior design.

Design & Construction
Designed around a semi-displacement aluminium hull and superstructure she features a 8.4m beam and a 2.63m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 453 GT (Gross Tonnes).
The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards.
Exterior Design
The exterior of Fabulous Character is marked by a navy hull and a white superstructure, accented by dark wood gunwale capping. A red and white bootstripe and a flared raked bow give her a distinctive design.
The main deck features teak double doors that lead to the aft deck and exterior lounge, providing a smooth transition between indoor and outdoor spaces. The upper deck is designed for al fresco dining and includes a second, more casual saloon. On the sundeck, guests can enjoy a Jacuzzi, a relaxed seating area, and cushioned sunpads.
The transom beach club is another key feature, doubling as a gym at the water's edge. The yacht's main tender is carried on the foredeck, preserving the flying bridge area for socializing. Flanking the forward, elevated spa pool are two seats that offer a bird's-eye view of the cruising area.
The arch, constructed from carbon fiber by GMT Composites, supports all satellite systems, electronics, and antennas. This structure, designed to maintain a strong vertical line and control the yacht's topline appearance, is lightweight, weighing 453 kilograms less than an equivalent aluminum design.
Interior Design
The interior design of Fabulous Character showcases a modern classic style crafted by the British design firm Rhoades Young. The main saloon is symmetrical and opens to a formal dining room. Teak double doors lead to the aft deck and exterior lounge, creating an inviting space for relaxation and socializing.
The interior features high-quality materials, including plush white sofas, elegant Asian decor motifs, and panoramic windows that allow natural light to flood the space. The dining room is finished with high-polish timber, providing a formal setting for meals.
A marble staircase connects the yacht’s three decks. The upper deck includes a second saloon designed for casual gatherings, equipped with a widescreen TV for movie nights. This area also offers al fresco dining options, blending indoor and outdoor living.
Accommodation
The yacht Fabulous Character offers accommodation for ten guests across five well-appointed suites. The master stateroom is located on the main deck and is designed for ultimate comfort. This suite includes a private study, a seating area, and his-and-hers en suites. Its full-beam layout ensures ample space and panoramic views.
On the lower deck, there are four additional guest suites. Each suite is designed to provide a comfortable and inviting environment for relaxation and rest.
The yacht is supported by a professional crew of nine, who have their own separate quarters to ensure both privacy for the guests and efficient service throughout the journey.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel MTU (16V2000M72) 1,924hp engines, motor yacht Fabulous Character is capable of reaching a top speed of 16 knots, and comfortably cruises at 14 knots. With her 58,800 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 1,954 nautical miles at 14 knots. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters. Her semi-displacement hull design means she offers a great balance of space and speed.

The yacht features a well-equipped gym, allowing her guests to keep up their fitness regimes at sea. In addition, Fabulous Character features a beach club where those on board can enjoy unwinding close to the water. Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort.
