Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 7.9m beam and a 2.8m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 280 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Exterior Design

Her well-deck, a prominent feature from her training ship days, has been innovatively repurposed. It houses a sophisticated 3.5-ton hydraulic crane, impeccably suited for deploying the state-of-the-art DeepFlight Super Falcon submersible that rests at the heart of Dr. No's exploratory spirit. This area not only serves a practical purpose but also stands as a testament to the yacht's unique capability to blend scientific exploration with luxury cruising.

The storage spaces on the well deck have been meticulously adapted to accommodate an array of diving equipment and a fully-equipped workshop. These modifications not only cater to the adventurous spirit of the owner and guests but also maintain the sleek, uncluttered lines that one would expect from a vessel of Dr. No's caliber. Throughout the yacht, the exterior spaces have been thoughtfully designed to maximize both functionality and aesthetic appeal. The ample deck areas are perfect for relaxation and socializing, offering a seamless connection with the marine environment.

Dr. No's silhouette, now a harmonious blend of her sturdy origins and refined modifications, proudly asserts her presence in any waters she navigates, truly embodying the essence of a luxury expedition yacht.

Interior Design

Upon entering the main saloon, guests are greeted by an expansive and comfortable living space, offering panoramic views through generous windows to port, starboard, and aft. The fully glazed sliding doors open to the aft deck, inviting the outside in and creating a seamless flow between the interior and exterior lounging areas.

Throughout the vessel, the interior design harmoniously combines the robust, utilitarian elements from her past with the luxurious touches expected of a modern superyacht. Dr. No's interior not only provides a sumptuous environment for guests and crew alike but also maintains the sense of adventure and discovery that is at the heart of her owner's passion for the sea.

Accommodation

Dr. No has been configured to host up to 12 guests within her five beautifully appointed suites. These consist of a full-beam owner’s suite, a VIP cabin with a double bed, an additional double cabin, and a twin cabin, ensuring a variety of sleeping arrangements to suit guest preferences. The owner's cabin offers a private sanctuary with refined amenities and decor. Additionally, the yacht features a thoughtful layout, with two emergency bunks located in the ship's office, ready to accommodate guests as needed.

The VIP cabin, as well as the other guest cabins, are designed with a tasteful blend of functionality and aesthetic appeal. Each cabin is well-appointed, providing guests with a tranquil and private space to unwind after a day of exploration. The shared bathroom for the twin-bunk and four-bunk cabin reflects a careful consideration of space and guest convenience.

Dr. No has been thoughtfully designed to ensure that her crew of up to four members also enjoy comfortable living quarters. The crew accommodations include a captain's double cabin, an engineer's cabin, and a twin-bunk crew cabin, all with en-suite facilities. A well-equipped crew mess area provides a communal space for relaxation, fitted with entertainment and internet systems, and built to European standards. The crew's well-being is further enhanced by the inclusion of a dedicated laundry room, essential for maintaining service excellence during extended voyages.

Performance & Capabilities

Dr. No features a single Yanmar diesel engine (M220EN2) with a substantial output of 1,200 horsepower. This engine grants Dr. No the capability to achieve a top speed of 12 knots, which is quite respectable for a vessel of her pedigree and size. When it comes to cruising, Dr. No does so with remarkable poise and efficiency, maintaining a comfortable speed of 10 knots. This well-balanced blend of power and grace ensures that journeys are not only swift but also exceedingly pleasant for all on board.

The yacht's substantial fuel capacity is equally noteworthy. With fuel tanks capable of holding a prodigious 166,577 liters, Dr. No boasts an impressive maximum range of approximately 4,000 nautical miles when cruising at 10 knots. This extended range is particularly advantageous for long voyages and remote expeditions, allowing the yacht to traverse vast stretches of ocean without the frequent need for refueling stops. Therefore, whether embarking on a leisurely cruise or an adventurous exploration, Dr. No is exceptionally well-equipped for extended time at sea.
