Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 7.43m beam and a 2.74m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 206 GT (Gross Tonnes).

This was the sixth yacht built on the Darwin 86 design. Launched in December 2023 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in June 2024.

Exterior Design

Empire's hull is designed for stability and efficiency, ensuring smooth sailing in various sea conditions. Large windows are strategically placed to maximize natural light and offer panoramic views from the interior spaces. The exterior color scheme features a classic white and blue palette. Below the waterline, the hull is coated in black, optimizing its performance and protection. The boot top stripe in blue provides a sleek finishing touch.

The main deck provides ample outdoor space, including a dining area and lounging spots for social gatherings. The stern area is equipped with a hydraulic swim platform, facilitating easy access to the water for swimming and other aquatic activities. The sun deck is furnished with loose furniture and sunbeds, creating an inviting area for sunbathing and enjoying the open air.

Interior Design

Empire’s interior design, crafted by Alessandro Massari, emphasizes a sober, understated elegance. The design incorporates custom-made furniture alongside pieces from established brands like Poltrona Frau and Poliform. This combination creates a warm, inviting atmosphere throughout the vessel.

The main deck is the central social area, offering both indoor and outdoor spaces for lounging and dining. A cozy bar is integrated into this space, enhancing the social environment.

The upper deck features a spacious and well-equipped gym, catering to fitness needs. This area also functions as a comfortable lounging space, opening onto a furnished stern terrace. The helm, located on the upper deck, is designed with Boening integrated monitoring and control systems, providing ease of handling for the captain and crew.

Accommodation

Empire offers accommodation for up to eight guests in four suites. The owner's full-beam stateroom, located amidships on the lower deck, provides a spacious and comfortable retreat. Adjacent to the owner’s stateroom are two twin cabins. Each of these cabins is equipped with a pullman bed, allowing for flexible guest accommodations. At the forward end of the lower deck, a VIP suite offers an additional level of privacy and elegance. This suite is strategically positioned to provide a serene and exclusive environment for VIP guests.

The crew quarters are situated forward on the main deck and are designed to accommodate four members. This area includes a substantial crew mess, providing a communal space for dining and relaxation. The crew quarters are efficiently connected to the wheelhouse on the upper deck via a dedicated staircase, facilitating smooth and effective communication and movement for the crew.

Powered by twin diesel Scania (DI13070M) 394hp engines running at 1800rpm, motor yacht Empire is capable of reaching a top speed of 11 knots, and comfortably cruises at 10 knots. With her 38,390 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 4,000 nautical miles at 10 knots.
