Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement aluminium hull and a GRP superstructure she features a 9.02m beam and a 2.13m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 476 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Exterior Design

The exterior design of Vita Nova is characterized by its clean lines and classic elegance. The yacht features a predominantly white hull and superstructure, creating a timeless and sophisticated look. The black boot top and below-the-spec color provide a striking contrast, enhancing its visual appeal without unnecessary embellishment. The deck is made from high-quality teak, offering durability and a traditional nautical appearance. The choice of materials and colors reflects a focus on practicality and understated style. The draught of 2.13 meters ensures navigability in shallow anchorages.

The design incorporates a single walkway around the exterior, merging the aft section at the main deck level with the forward section at the upper deck level. This design choice extends the master stateroom and the vista lounge to the full beam, enhancing the interior space.

Vita Nova's layout includes a stern garage housing two tenders, which allows the saloon and vista saloon to open to unobstructed deck spaces, facilitating casual seating and open-air dining. The sun deck is fitted with a circular spa pool, large sunpads, a bar, a barbecue, and a dining table, providing a dedicated area for outdoor activities.

Interior Design

The interior design of the Vita Nova is characterized by its practical and aesthetically pleasing layout. The yacht's main deck features a saloon and dining saloon located aft. The saloon is decorated with rare yellow cirrus wood from Australia, creating a warm and intimate atmosphere. This space includes a variety of seating options, such as sofas and easy chairs, grouped around a coffee table finished with book-matched, flame mahogany and inlaid with a compass rose. A plasma-screen television rises from a wooden cabinet on command, providing an ideal setup for informal gatherings.

Forward of the saloon, separated by a lattice screen door, the dining saloon is designed for formal meals. The cirrus-topped table, which can be extended to accommodate up to 12 diners, is complemented by a cirrus and eucalyptus burl cabinet displaying a Fabergé egg and an antique clock. The dining area is connected to the pantry via a service door, ensuring efficient meal service.

The upper deck houses the vista saloon, pilothouse, radio office, and captain's cabin. The vista saloon features panoramic windows that provide expansive views, making it a versatile space for both relaxation and entertainment. The neo-classical bar, games table, and writing desk offer various recreational options. Outdoor access is facilitated through sliding doors leading to a teak-laid deck, complete with a serpentine settee and an oval dining table.

Accommodation

Vita Nova accommodates up to 12 guests in a total of five cabins, ensuring ample space for relaxation and rest. The master suite is located on the main deck forward of the central lobby area. It features a private office leading into a full-beam stateroom that includes a sitting area, a king-sized bed, and a dressing table. Large picture windows on both sides provide natural light and scenic views. The master suite also includes an en suite bathroom with a spa bath, honey onyx finishing, a large shower compartment, and cedar-lined wardrobes.

On the lower deck, four guest staterooms are located amidships. These cabins are each uniquely decorated and named after famous operatic arias. The two aft staterooms each feature king-sized beds and en suite bathrooms with twin basins and bathtubs. Forward of the lobby, one stateroom offers a queen-sized bed, while the other features twin beds; both have en suite shower rooms. The twin-bedded cabin has a watertight door connecting it to the crew quarters.

The crew quarters are situated in the bow, providing accommodation for up to eight crew members. This area ensures that the crew can maintain the yacht to the highest standards while offering discreet and professional service to guests.
