Design & Construction
Designed around a semi-displacement aluminium hull and superstructure she features a 9m beam and a 2.3m draft. The yacht has an internal volume of 499 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Exterior Design
In 2022, a comprehensive refit transformed both the interior and exterior of the yacht Oceanos, in her exterior styling, the refit replaced her original dark blue hull with a sleek white hull alongside a white superstructure. With its commanding presence, Oceanos boasts high decks and large vertical glazing within breaks of the bulwarks. The yacht features a raked bow and a short foredeck before ascending high comings add interior height to the main deck. A guest space is thoughtfully located aft of the foredeck, where banks of seating integrate into the curvature of the yacht, accompanied by convenient tables.
Three stylish pairs of symmetrical glazing adorn the forward section of the main deck bow, while the stern drops away cleanly. The upper deck overhang provides shade for the main deck aft, and a similar overhang on the sun deck offers shade for the aft deck relaxation space. A sleek black bootstrap graces the waterline, while slim portholes on the lower deck allow natural light to flood the accommodation spaces. At the top of the yacht, a shallow canopy serves as the base for the radar and communication section, with an additional radar dome situated forward.
The sheltered bathing platform is easily accessible via twin staircases protected by high coaming. Large fairlead openings add visual interest on the quarter deck. The beach club and amenities area are revealed with the raising of the large transom door.
On the sun deck, ample seating, dining options, and a circular jacuzzi within a stylish dark wood surround provide top-notch amenities for guests. The jacuzzi tub is situated on the sun deck aft, flanked by sun pads on either side and two pairs of twin pads are placed just before the shade of the canopy. Two dining tables, each with bench seating, are positioned forward of the canopy, ensuring all guests can enjoy al fresco dining together. Additionally, a large bar area forward offers bar stools for enjoying cocktails with elevated views. Twin staircases provide convenient access to the deck below.
Interior Design
Following a full refit in 2022, the interiors of OCeanos, originally designed by Studio Vafiadis in 2006, were rejuvenated to create a lighter and brighter atmosphere. While retaining the original wood panels on the walls, the soft furnishings now feature cream and light tones of ocean blue, complemented by plain cream carpets. Occasional tables with plain white bases and lacquered walnut tops adorned with gold inlay add a touch of elegance. Generous sofas provide ample seating, while pairs of low lounge chairs in textured light blue offer a subtle contrast. Large artwork throughout the space continues the flow of blue, ensuring a cohesive aesthetic.
As one moves from the main salon towards the formal dining area, silver-hued walls with protruding panels subtly divide the space, featuring a central open section of cabinetry. The formal dining table, crafted from light highly-styled sectional lacquered wood, is accompanied by low cream leather dining chairs. A rectangular ceiling panel, recessed within a wood surround, serves as a striking feature above the dining area, while large windows invite natural light into the space, flanked by wooden walls with stylized horizontal grain.
The cabins maintain a neutral palette that contrasts beautifully with the wooden wall panels and full-height glazing. Padded headboards and paneled ceilings add visual interest, while in guest cabins, fluted wood walls and chequerboard bed bases alongside mid-century style cabinetry provide distinctive features. Each cabin showcases a unique depth of wood, adding to its individuality. Throughout the interiors, accents of ocean blue are prominent, with occasional dashes of orange for a striking effect, creating a harmonious and inviting atmosphere.
