Paloma is a 41.8m motor yacht delivered by Italian shipyard Custom Line in 2020. Her interior design and exterior styling comes from the drawing boards of Zuccon, while Ferretti Group Engineering Department is responsible for her naval architecture.
Design & Construction
Designed around a semi-displacement GRP hull and superstructure she features a 8.2m beam and a 2.4m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 348 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Construction started in late 2017. This was the third yacht built on the Navetta 42 design. She was delivered to her owners in February 2020.
Exterior Design
The side profile of the Custom Line Navetta 42 yacht exudes dynamic forward motion, with ample glazing on the hull and expansive windows on the main and upper deck, contrasting against the pristine white hull and superstructure. A sleek black canopy and radar mast provide a striking contrast.
The raked bow leads to a functional foredeck with sun pads forward of the anchoring equipment area, while further guest spaces on the foredeck aft feature expansive sun pads and a large U-shaped seating bench. A bench is also tucked under the bridge glazing, while side decks guide guests to the stern and dedicated guest spaces. The guardrails recede towards amidships, enhancing the yacht's dynamic side profile. Teak accents along the side deck complement the prominent interior spaces, adding visual interest against the white hull and superstructure.
At the stern, the sharp transom features a short fixed bathing platform that extends when the transom door is lowered, revealing guest amenities. The teak deck extends significantly around the side of the yacht to where shell doors are integrated into the hull for access to tender and watercraft stowage. Twin staircases, protected by high-sided coaming, provide access to the spacious main deck aft.
Atop the yacht, strategically positioned dark glazing windbreaks provide shelter for guests enjoying the jacuzzi, maintaining unobstructed views from the slightly elevated tub. Adjacent to the jacuzzi, guests can relax in the shade provided by the canopy of the radar mast, by a channeled wooden bar featuring stylish Roda-designed Harp stools, or a large sofa opposite the bar provides comfortable seating. Further aft, an al fresco dining area offers a relaxed atmosphere, still benefiting from the canopy shade. At the very aft of the sun deck, expansive sun pads await, while the staircase leading to the upper deck is discreetly tucked into the port quarter deck.
Interior Design
The interiors of yacht Paloma exude chic and contemporary elegance, characterized by a light and airy ambiance, light wood, and a neutral palette that enhances the comfort of the furniture. Channeled cabinetry adds a touch of sophistication throughout the yacht, while gold accents in artwork and sculptures provide a cohesive theme.
The main deck saloon features Isadora leather dining chairs by Roberto Lazzeroni for Poltrona Frau, offering seating for six guests at a large dining table. Full-height glazing slides open to welcome the fresh sea breeze and provide access to the side balcony.
A private reception area in the main cabin showcases a large Tanya Ling artwork as a focal point. Cabin designs are minimalist and spacious, adorned with shades of grey and white against light wood flooring, complemented by off-white carpets.
Accommodation
Paloma offers accommodation for up to 10 guests in 5 suites comprising an owners cabin located on the main deck, 2 double cabins, 1 twin cabin and 1 cabin that can operate as twin or double. She is also capable of carrying up to 8 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (C32 ACERT) 12-cylinder 1,470hp engines, motor yacht Paloma is capable of reaching a top speed of 15 knots, and comfortably cruises at 13 knots. With her 37,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 1,600 nautical miles at an economic speed of 10 knots. Her semi-displacement hull design means she offers a great balance of space and speed.
Amenities
In addition, a swim platform provides easy access to the ocean. Air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort. Crowning the yacht is a spacious sundeck with an inviting spread of sunpads and deck jacuzzi which provides excellent views.
