The 52m motor yacht Project Tide is currently in construction by Orion Yachts and is set to be completed in 2027. Her naval architecture and exterior design comes from the drawing boards of Barnes Yachting.

Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 30'2" beam and a 8' draft. The yacht is built over 4 decks with an internal volume of 499 GT (Gross Tonnes).

The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards.

Exterior Design

The yacht Project Tide features a retractable aft gangway, providing straightforward access to the main deck. The raised mooring area and side staircases offer efficient navigation down to the aft peak.

On the main deck, a large endless pool is situated in the aft, adjacent to a spacious cockpit with foldable bulwarks on each side to optimize space when needed. Forward, the deck accommodates a tender well equipped with a tender and crane, alongside a designated rescue boat area for practicality and safety.

The upper deck provides a large open area at the rear, complete with a lounge bar and access to the sun deck via a starboard staircase. The design includes a forward external sitting area with sunbeds, enhancing the outdoor experience without compromising on simplicity.

The sun deck features an expansive open space with a forward lounge bar and a large pool flanked by sunbeds, offering ample room for relaxation. Two side shell doors provide access to the garage, maintaining the yacht's clean lines while facilitating storage and accessibility.

Interior Design

Project Tide's main deck saloon offers a spacious dining area accessible through a weathertight sliding glazed door. This space is designed for comfort and utility, with a layout that supports both intimate gatherings and larger social events.

Adjacent to the saloon, a central staircase connects the accommodation area and the upper deck lobby, emphasizing ease of movement throughout the yacht. A small pantry on the port side provides direct access to the galley, ensuring efficient service. The day head on the main deck offers convenient access for guests.

On the upper deck, the saloon continues the theme of straightforward design. The inclusion of a panoramic gym on the starboard side allows for fitness activities with a view. The port side pantry and starboard side day head serve as practical facilities for guests and crew alike. The wheelhouse, located on this deck, is accompanied by the captain's cabin, ensuring effective navigation and control.

Accommodation

Project Tide is equipped to host a total of eight guests in the lower deck's dedicated guest area. Here, four well-appointed guest cabins each feature a double bed and are complemented by ensuite bathrooms with shower stalls.

The owner's suite is located on the main deck and offers a spacious retreat with its own set of amenities. This suite is designed with two separate bathrooms, each equipped with a shower, and includes a shared steam shower for added convenience. This thoughtful arrangement provides a private and exclusive area for the owner to enjoy.

For the crew, Project Tide includes comprehensive accommodations for up to 10 on the lower deck to ensure smooth operations and comfort. The crew area comprises five cabins, each equipped with bunk beds and bathrooms. Additionally, the crew has access to a port-side crew mess, a starboard-side fridge/freezer room, and a fully equipped laundry area.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (C32 ACERT) 1,450hp engines running at 2300rpm, motor yacht Project Tide is capable of reaching a top speed of 15 knots, and comfortably cruises at 12 knots. With her 15,850 gallon fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 4,000 nautical miles at 10 knots.
