Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement w/ bulbous bow steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 12.6m beam and a 3.7m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 2,114 GT (Gross Tonnes). The design also incorporates a heli-pad.

The yacht was designed and constructed in compliance with the Lloyds Register technical standards. Launched in July 2012 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months.

Exterior Design

Crafted by the esteemed Espen Øino, the Stella Maris showcases an exterior that defies the conventional, boasting a design that is as radical as it is refined. Her sleek form subtly disguises the yacht's split deck arrangement, allowing her voluminous interior to surprise guests with its enormity. The dominance of glass in her structure is a clear statement of Øino's design philosophy, aiming to strike a harmonious balance between the yacht's aesthetic appeal and its functional innovation.

The majestic DuPont Metallic Grey hull seamlessly integrates with the off-white superstructure, creating a powerful and masculine presence on the water. The color choice is strategic, mitigating the visual impact of the yacht's considerable height while enhancing its profile with a bold, contemporary touch. This is further accentuated by the yacht's distinctive glass-walled aft saloons on the main and upper decks, which are positioned just below the fully certified helipad, an innovative feature that adds to her allure.

The helipad itself is a marvel of design and engineering, extending outboard of the yacht's profile, a clear indication of Stella Maris's capability to accommodate a helicopter in grand style. Not only does it serve its practical purpose, but it also doubles as an exceptional entertainment space, capable of hosting up to 100 guests for an unforgettable dining experience under the stars.

Espen Øino's design prowess is further evident on the sun deck, where the sharp angles of the radar mast echo the helipad's shape, creating a visual synergy that is both striking and functional. The staggered decks not only facilitate easy movement between levels but also cleverly accommodate varying ceiling heights, ensuring that each space feels perfectly proportioned.

The tender garage and beach club area is yet another testament to Stella Maris's thoughtful design. With the tenders deployed, the space transforms into a bi-level beach club, inviting guests to indulge in waterside revelry. Interior Design

The interior design of Stella Maris is an embodiment of sophisticated elegance and innovative luxury, befitting her stature as a flagship superyacht. The design, masterminded by Michela Reverberi, is characterized by its intelligent use of space, light, and materials, creating an ambience that is both grand and intimate.

As one steps into the main saloon, the impact of the two-story vertical garden is immediate, offering a serene and natural element that contrasts beautifully with the modernity around it. This area, which can be transformed into a climate-controlled winter garden, encapsulates the yacht's ability to merge the indoors with the outdoors seamlessly, thanks to hidden glass panels that close behind the sofa area.

The upper salon further exemplifies the yacht's versatility. It features sofas with electrically movable backs that can be reconfigured into a cinema-style arrangement, providing an adaptable space for entertainment or relaxation. This careful consideration of functionality is evident throughout the yacht's interior spaces.

Reverberi's approach to the interior design is to honor the luxury of spaciousness. The choice of glass dining tables maintains an unobstructed visual flow, ensuring that the stunning views remain the focal point. Accommodation

The vessel comfortably accommodates up to 12 guests across seven resplendent staterooms. The guest quarters are situated on the main deck and consist of four double and two twin cabins, each boasting almost identical layouts with subtle variations in furnishings and fabrics, catering to individual tastes and preferences. These cabins embody the essence of refined luxury, with their sophisticated design and state-of-the-art amenities, providing a serene retreat for guests.

Ascending to the owner's deck reveals the pièce de résistance: an opulent owner's suite that redefines maritime magnificence. This private sanctuary features an office or day room, a central dressing room with expansive wardrobes, and an imposing Ottoman. The suite is flanked by two sumptuous Brazilian blue marble bathrooms, ensuring that the owner's needs are met with the highest standards of elegance and sophistication. The bedroom itself is a haven of tranquility, where natural light floods in through a semi-circle of floor-to-ceiling windows, offering panoramic views of the sea. Stella Maris' commitment to luxury is not confined to the aesthetics and functionality of her accommodations. She is also future-proofed, designed to comply with the Passenger Yacht Code for up to 36 passengers, which means that the accommodation can be reconfigured should the need arise, such as converting the gym into additional VIP suites.

Performance & Capabilities

Stella Maris is propelled by a pair of advanced engines, meticulously selected to provide an optimal balance of power and efficiency. Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (3516B) 2,682hp engines running at 1600rpm, Stella Maris is capable of reaching a top speed of 17 knots, and comfortably cruises at 13 knots. The yacht's propulsion system is designed to deliver a smooth and powerful cruising experience, allowing her to cut through the waves with grace and stability. 

The yacht's cruising speed is thoughtfully calibrated to ensure that guests onboard can enjoy the journey as much as the destination. With a cruising speed that allows for both efficiency and comfort, Stella Maris is capable of gliding across Sea State 2 with a mere whisper of 46 decibels, indicative of a serene onboard environment.

With her 175,000-litre fuel tanks, she has a maximum range of 5,500 nautical miles at 12 knots. The yacht is built to undertake extensive voyages, offering her guests the opportunity to explore the most remote and exquisite destinations without the need for frequent refueling stops. 

To ensure the utmost comfort for her guests, Stella Maris is equipped with state-of-the-art stabilizers. These sophisticated systems work to minimize the yacht's roll, providing a stable platform even in less than ideal sea conditions. A gym with all the latest equipment allows her guests to keep their workout routines while at sea. Rest and relaxation can be achieved on board, thanks to a luxury spa. In addition, a generous beach club offers direct access to the ocean. The yacht features a tender garage with storage for a range of toys and accessories. An elevator makes the yacht fully-accessible, while air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort. Stella Maris also features a deck jacuzzi for cooling off.
