Delivered in 2021, Untethered is a 108'6" motor yacht for sale built by Taiwanese shipyard Horizon. Her naval architecture and interior design comes from the drawing boards of Horizon, while Cor D. Rover Design is responsible for her exterior design.

Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement GRP hull and superstructure she features a 24'6" beam and a 6'4" draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 266 GT (Gross Tonnes).

This was the third yacht built on the FD110 Skyline design. Launched in October 2020 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months.

Exterior Design

Starting at the transom, the swim platform is fully hydraulic and rated for a 2,200-pound capacity, allowing it to hold up to a 20-foot tender. The platform also includes a drop-down boarding ladder and two garages for toy storage, wet storage, and crew quarter access. Additionally, a locker on the port side houses a shower for rinsing off before heading up to the aft deck.

The aft deck offers a well-thought-out entertaining space, featuring deep U-shaped seating and a high-low table for meals. A full wet bar is available for self-service or crew use. Seating in the center area can be turned around to watch TV. Access to the crew quarters is safe and convenient, located off to the port side.

Moving to the bow, there's a large U-shaped seating area with cocktail tables that pull up when needed. A three-person jacuzzi with a waterfall feature and a sun pad with adjustable backrests provide additional relaxation spaces. The working deck includes two Maxwell anchors and storage for docking equipment.

The boat deck is equipped with a propane fire pit and grill. The fire pit can be converted into a coffee table when not in use. A thousand-pound davit on the starboard side is available for lifting jet skis or a small tender, while a retractable dining area provides flexible outdoor dining options.

Interior Design

The galley features top-of-the-line Miele and Sub-Zero appliances, ensuring a fully equipped space for meal preparation. A custom seating area, unique to the FD series, offers additional functionality. This area can be utilized by the crew during dining events or by guests who wish to interact with the chef. A drop-down TV adds an element of entertainment within the galley. The design includes a custom exterior port side walk-around entrance, ensuring privacy for guests while maintaining functionality for the crew. 

The helm is fitted with state-of-the-art navigation and monitoring systems, including five Garmin 24-inch touchscreen displays. These displays allow for flexibility in controlling cameras, charts, and communications. The helm includes a jog controller, zero-speed track stabilization, and a skyhook system for maintaining position without anchoring. Bow and stern thrusters assist with close-quarter maneuvering. The panoramic view from the pilot house provides excellent visibility for navigation.

The main salon is designed for both comfort and entertainment. It features electric doors flush-mounted into the deck for seamless entry and exit. An Octuplex display at the entrance offers virtual monitoring capabilities. The salon includes a 60-inch TV with a Sonos soundbar, which can swivel to different seating areas. Floor-to-ceiling windows provide ample natural light and views.

The formal dining area, with a marble table seating up to 10 guests, includes sliding glass doors with phantom screens to allow for an evening breeze. Additional features include a beverage center, wine cooler, and ample storage for stemware.

The Sky Lounge offers a cozy yet functional space. An office desk provides a workspace with a view, while a bar area is equipped with fridges, freezers, and an ice maker. The lounge includes a 15-inch flat-screen TV and a Sonos sound system. An Octuplex monitoring system is also available in this area. The boat deck adjacent to the Sky Lounge features a propane fire pit and grill, along with a dining area that can be retracted to allow sun exposure.

Accommodation

Untethered accommodates up to 10 guests across several well-appointed cabins. Situated on the main deck, the master suite features four closets and two separate his-and-her heads, each with its own shower stall, heated floors, and towel warmers. The suite also includes a seating area and a hinged TV, enhancing convenience and comfort.

Located on the lower deck, the VIP stateroom offers a walk-around bed, ample storage, and an ensuite bathroom adorned with luxurious decor similar to the master suite.

The queen stateroom features a full queen walk-around bed, ample closet space, oversized windows, and a full ensuite layout. The twin stateroom includes a sliding inward berth and a Pullman desk, allowing it to double as an office. It also has an ensuite bathroom with elegant stonework. The midship stateroom is designed for flexibility, featuring an ensuite bathroom, a full mirror wall, and a built-in TV, catering to various guest needs.

The crew quarters are located aft, providing accommodation for up to five crew members in three cabins, including a captain's quarters with an ensuite bathroom. The crew area also includes a full crew mess.

Performance & Capabilities

Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (C32A) 1,900hp engines, motor yacht Untethered is capable of reaching a top speed of 21 knots, and comfortably cruises at 14 knots.
