About
Interior
Classically finished with solid wood cabinetry across the three-cabin layout, the Fleming 55 is designed for longer, liveaboard cruises. The owner’s stateroom is set forward, with two further guest cabins amidships. The deck salon features a large galley and lots of stowage. The pilothouse-style helm is reached via the salon with its own side deck access and steps up to the flybridge.
Exterior
Masses of practical and social space is spread across the 55, with a large foredeck, Portuguese bridge, grand aft deck and expansive upper deck with a lounge area.
Performance
The semi-displacement hull offers fast cruising around 20 knots, but reduce speed and the 55 will deliver very comfortable long-range passage-making.
From The Manufacturer
The hull shape has proven time and time again to have superior fuel efficiency and the most comfortable ride in all conditions. Whether it’s island hopping, coastal, or offshore cruising, the Fleming 55 provides a refined, elegant, and safe passage.
The standard three-cabin/two-head arrangement houses the master Island Queen ensuite forward, a twin- or double-berth cabin to port, and twin bunks or an optional office to starboard. The port cabin can also accommodate two additional upper bunks for extra guests or larger families. A two-cabin/two-head arrangement is also available, allowing for larger port and forward cabins. The salon allows flexibility for seating arrangements, cabinetry and appliances. The galley houses full-sized appliances, including a 21-cubic-foot, side-by-side refrigerator/freezer.
Optional control stations make docking a breeze and the Fleming’s low profile, deep keel and 30 ton displacement makes her easy to handle in close quarters. Sliding doors to the salon have self-locking latches to prevent them running amok if inadvertently left unsecured when going to sea. Lockable, gasketed hatches provide access to a capacious lazarette for storage of fenders and lines. A hot and cold shower can be reached from the swim step which, with safety in mind, has a retractable ladder underneath deployable by a person in the water.
