There are many boats that are beautiful. And many that are beasts. A few provide some combination of both. Only Hatteras pours in the generous measures of beauty and brawn that you'll find in the 36 Convertible. And no wonder. It's an original recipe dating back more than 20 years.
And every year since, the recipe and its ingredients have got better and better.
Consider the brawn portion of our 36.
The hull is incredibly strong. Live every Hatteras hull, the 36's is one-piece molded fiberglass. Above the waterline, the fiberglass is cored for added stiffness. Below the waterline, it's solid fiberglass.
Additional strength and stiffness is provided by means of a stringer system unique to Hatteras. Made of fiberglass and aluminium, it runs athwartships as well as fore and aft in a waffle-like pattern.
Complementing the strength of the 36's hull is its design - constant deadrise, modified-vee with an exceptionally deep forefoot.
So the 36 gets on plane quickly, is stable in open water and knifes through head seas.
That adds up to a hull in which you have greater confidence while running, trolling or at the dock, and in which you have greater interior space as well.
To send the 36 skimming, 3 power combinations are available: two choices of diesels, one of gasoline engines.
The flying bridge is roomy. Its control station has all necessary switches and dimmable lighted instruments, helm seat, room for what we know is today's normal complement of electronics. Forward is lounge seating for guests plus excellent storage.
Our experience precisely places the helm seat. So you'll enjoy excellent visibility... aft into the cockpit and forward for even close maneuvering.
