Azimut teases images of new Seadeck series

Azimut has unveiled new renderings of its forthcoming eco-friendly Seadeck series, due to be launched sequentially over the next 20 months.

Initially due to comprise of three models, the Seadeck series is a step forward on the Italian yard's plan to reach IMO CO2 emissions targets by 2030.

Initially launching three models, Azimut has announced the Seadeck 6, 7, and 8. Aiming to provide a 40% reduction in emissions when compared to traditional yachts of the same size, the designs take on familiar traits from the Benetti Oasis range but also introduce key elements to promote complete connectivity to the sea and nature.

Designed in collaboration with Alberto Mancini,Matteo Thun and Antonio Rodriguez, meticulous attention has been paid to making the yachts as environmentally friendly as possible.

Examples of modifications include a specially designed hull that will plane with optimal efficiency to extend the amount of time at economic cruising speeds, also teak decks have been substituted for cork, plus FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified wood throughout the interiors.

In addition to the economic tweaks throughout, a major new selling point for the Seadeck range is the introduction of the Fun Island.

All in aid of living in close contact with the sea, the aft lounge area completely opens up, with bulwarks folding down to create a spacious environment to enjoy mother nature at her best. With fully opening doors to the interior, the entire yacht effectively becomes an island so owners can truly 'embrace the sea'.

Designed to act as an entry point for sustainable yachting of the future, the Seadeck range will reportedly be constructed with a larger amount of composite materials. Although this will increase the build cost by around 30%, The Group insists these additional costs will not be passed onto owners.

Already beginning construction, the Seadeck 6, 7 and 8 models are all anticipated to make their debuts in order at boot Düsseldorf in 2024, the Cannes Yachting Festival 2024, and then boot Düsseldorf in 2025.
