Elegant Palm Beach GT50 Prepares For European Debut at Cannes

Following on from the world debut at the Miami Yacht Show last February, Palm Beach have now announced that the Palm Beach GT50 Open will be making her European debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival.

With a cored e-glass construction and a superstructure built with carbon fibre, designs for the hull of the GT50 have been focused on the element of being a fast and lightweight vessel. A semi-monocoque shell has been formed by bonding the bulkheads and deck to the hull, creating a stronger and more rigid end result.

Even more stability and performance enhancements are provided for with the additional vertical centre of gravity.

Life onboard the GT50 Open has been designed in such a way that owners can truly make the most of their journey in comfortable and innovative surroundings. Exteriors provide walkways for easy movement around the vessel and a removable sun awning provides shade for onboard guests when needed.

A comfortable social area in the amidships provides L shaped seating to enjoy the views from, plus a dining table and an additional sofa. Companion seats in and around the cockpit provide further opportunities to enjoy spectacular views on voyages and guests can stay refreshed with the stationed refridgerator and ice maker. Even more seating is available on the helm deck, with space for four people.

The GT50 was conceived as a vessel that would allow Palm Beach Motor Yachts to really push the envelope in terms of our hallmark traits of performance and efficiency. She also brings to market a new aesthetic for the brand that is still elegant and timeless, while also showcasing simplicity in design where form and function complement each other, rather than one dictating the other.
