First two Conrad C144S yachts under construction

Polish shipyard Conrad has announced the first two units of its semi-custom C144S superyacht are under construction, with the first set for delivery in 2022.

The first two hulls of the 44m (145ft) Conrad C144S yacht have begun construction in Poland at Conrad’s Gdansk-based shipyard.

The first hull is being built for an experienced Swiss customer and is set for delivery in late spring 2022. The second hull remains a new yacht for sale, with her keel laying ceremony taking place in mid-December 2020.

The semi-custom motor yacht boasts a steel hull and aluminium superstructure. Exterior design comes courtesy of British superyacht designer Reymond Langton, with naval architecture courtesy of Diana Yacht Design.

The ‘S’ in C144S stands for straight bow, but also is a nod toward the brief from her Owner for the yacht to be ‘superb, sleek and sexy’. Her timeless Italian interior design is from the pen of M2 Atelier and features space for ten guests in an Owner’s suite and four VIP cabins. She can also accommodate nine crew members.

Highlights of her exterior deck include an aft platform with beach club, four lounge zones, a deck cinema, two bars and dining zones and an infinity pool on her sundeck.

Twin Caterpillar C18 engines will give a top speed of 13 knots and a cruising range of 4,000nm at 10 knots.

Conrad Shipyard was established in 2003 and immediately began to build its first motor yacht, 27m (88.5ft) 'Escape S', now known as CHILLIN, delivering it in 2005. Our YachtBuyer intelligence reveals that of the yachts they have built since the largest is 40m (131ft) VIATORIS delivered in 2018.
