Horizon FD75 heads to Palm Beach for US debut

Taiwanese shipyard Horizon has announced the upcoming US debut of the latest addition to the lineup of SUV-style FD yachts for sale, the 23.07m (75.7ft) FD75.

Appearing for the very first time at the 2021 Palm Beach International Boat Show (PBIBS) from 25-28 March, the FD75 will be a highlight of the Horizon stand, and the show itself, accompanied by a selection of pre-existing FD models and catamarans.

Having made its official debut at a COVID-secure open house event at the yard's facilities in Kaohsiung, Taiwan in January 2020, the FD75 now enjoys a more public and tangible outing.

The now familiar and very bold SUV design work of Cor D Rover, that makes up the entire FD series, is very much in place, but with the builder suggesting a focus on 'serious Owner operators'. At 23m the FD75 sits at the very top of what would normally be considered Owner-operable, but its size and scope mean that such an Owner will hopefully enjoy tremendous cruising opportunities.

Powered by twin Caterpillar C18 ACERTS, the FD75 has a maximum speed of 19.4 knots with a range of 2289 nautical miles.

Showcasing the 'space and amenities of a superyacht', exteriors are spacious and easy to navigate for Owner's to dock on either port or starboard moorings.

The layout is seamless for convenience, with an alfresco dining option on the aft deck, and a fully equipped wet bar on the open flybridge along with ample seating for guests at numerous locations around the decks.

Capacious interiors follow the trends of the roomy exteriors, with abundant space for socializing and an aft galley that can easily serve both interior and exterior dining areas.

A raised pilothouse maximizes the available space on board, with Owners also able to make the most of an extra helm station up on the flybridge.

Designed by the Horizon Vision yard, the new FD75 has a widespread appeal for the US market with benefits usually seen on larger yachts including a full-beam master cabin that can be situated on the main deck. A further three guest cabins are also located on the lower deck.

Another FD model making its US debut is the FD92 Trideck. With two models already delivered and three on the books for launch in 2021, the 28.66m (94ft) FD92 features the same High-Performance Piercing Bow and hull design seen on the rest of the series designed by Cor D. Rover, and is also directed at Owner operation.

Boasting a five-cabin layout and luxurious amenities such as a beach club and a his-and-hers en suite attached to the master cabin there's a lot to get excited about from this eyecatching FD92 trideck for sale.

Horizon has also confirmed the attendance of the FD85 and the PC60 Mk2 at their stand on Ramp 2, Slips 201-203.
