Horizon launches first 28m tri-deck FD92 'Crowned Eagle'

Taiwanese shipyard Horizon has successfully launched the first tri-deck hull in its fast displacement FD92 series.

Introduced in November 2019, the FD92 has proved a valuable asset to the fleet of Horizon FD yachts for sale, with 20 hulls being sold from the range within four years.

Currently on schedule to join her new owners at the end of October in the U.S., the 28.36m (93.1) FD92 'Crowned Eagle' is powered by twin Caterpillar C-32 ACERT engines with a total of 3,800hp.

As the latest model to join the FD series, the FD92 is largely inspired by the FD87 but with added volume and amenities, directly resulting from customer demand.

Constructed with a high-performance piercing bow and a lightweight carbon fiber flybridge, the Cor D. Rover design features voluminous interiors and extensive windows, allowing abundant natural light to filter throughout the motor yacht.

For those looking to buy a yacht which is great for cruising in a range of destinations, the FD92 ticks all the right boxes; its hosts a large beach club facility and a hi/lo swim platform which doubles as a tender launch.

Exterior living can be enjoyed further in a selection of advertised exterior lounging areas, such as the al fresco dining option on the aft deck, adjoined by a wetbar. The foredeck offers a Jacuzzi, curved seating and sun pads under a custom foredeck shade system, with further L shaped seating and bar on the sun deck.

Interiors are capacious throughout, with a well lit main salon and lounge area, plus additional comfort in an enclosed skylounge which houses the helm station, more lounge seating and a dayhead.

Overnight accommodation comprises of a five-cabin layout for up to 10 guests, including a main deck master and four guest cabins on the lower deck.

Horizon has confirmed a second FD92 is under construction and is currently looking at delivery in early 2021. If you are looking to buy an FD92, she has a top speed of 19.1 knots and a cruising speed of 10 knots.
