Otam's flagship 90 GTS close to completion

Otam, the Italy-based yacht builder, has revealed that the first Otam 90 GTS yacht, measuring 27.75m (91ft), is nearing completion at its shipyard in Genoa. Constructed in collaboration with Giuseppe Bagnardi of BG Design Firm, the brand's flagship yacht is scheduled to be launched in May 2024.

With construction having started in June 2023, and inspired by the world of racing cars, the Otam 90 GTS features a carbon-fiber helm console structure reminiscent of the protective ‘halo’ system used in Formula 1. The hull has been coated in a silver metallic paint with bronze accents, specially developed by paint specialists, Awlgrip, for the owner.

The interior layout of the Otam 90 GTS is custom-designed, offering accommodation for up to six guests across three staterooms. The main deck features a convivial cockpit with an opening hardtop, along with private access to the kitchen and a large sunbathing area aft.

Equipped with a cooling system to maintain constant temperatures for electronics, the carbon-fiber structure also includes air intakes on the front of the yacht and a ‘snorkel’ on the hardtop, once again reflecting the design aesthetics of high-performance cars.

Owners of the Otam 90 GTS series will have various customization options, including side window heights, hull window configurations, and garage sizes capable of accommodating a 4.35m (14ft) tender.

The flagship yacht will debut internationally at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2024 in September, coinciding with Otam's 70th anniversary celebration.
