Sunseeker has officially unveiled its 20.5m (67ft) Predator 65 model, the latest addition to its iconic range of Predator sports yachts, in a global digital premiere.
Sunseeker CEO Andrea Frabetti introduced the new model, which becomes part of a range he described as having “the most recognized silhouette on the water” before Sales and Marketing Director Sean Robertson gave viewers a glimpse into its performance capabilities on its sea trials.
The sea trials demonstrated the Predator 65’s adrenaline-fuelled attitude which is in keeping with other models in the Predator range. The new motor yacht is fitted with Volvo Penta IPS-1200 or IPS-1350 engines and has a top speed of 35 knots.
“It is like driving a small sports boat. You are never going to want to get to your destination because it is just too much fun” said Sean Robertson as he took the Predator 65 on its sea trials.
The Predator 65 has an exterior typical of Sunseeker, a striking blend of tinted glazing, teak, carbon fiber and polished stainless steel. On deck, there are two distinct entertaining areas; a bow seating area complete with a large sunpad, and a broad cockpit with comfortable dining seating.
The cockpit merges seamlessly with the open-plan interior living space thanks to sliding doors and a dropping window. A galley is position aft, whilst the main saloon features U-shaped seating and is a highly customizable space with the option to include extra seating on the starboard side or extend the port side seating to suit the lower galley arrangement.
Below deck, the three-cabin layout provides accommodation for up to six guests and is made up of a full-beam Owner’s cabin, a spacious forward VIP and a twin cabin. There is also the option of an open-plan Owner’s office linked to the master stateroom, and a single-berth cabin and lower deck galley or saloon can also be specified.
Andrea Frabetti, CEO at Sunseeker International, expressed his excitement at the exclusive insight into the new model, saying: “The Predator 65 is an exciting proposition for any prospective buyer. With dynamic handling and exceptional performance, the driving experience is peerless whilst providing spacious living quarters for owners to enjoy extended time on the open water. The passion of the in-house Sunseeker design and engineering teams are reflected in the outstanding innovations on board this exciting new model.”
The aggressively styled Predator range was launched back in 1994 at the London Boat Show and has gone on to become synonymous with many of Sunseeker’s core values, namely performance, handling, style and quality.
The unveiling of the Predator 65 follows the announcement of a £38million investment by the British yard at the end of 2020, which will see the brand double its range to 22 models. To explore its impressive fleet in more detail you can view all Sunseeker yachts for sale.
