Wally Unveils Spacious New wallywhy200 ‘Superfly’ Yacht

Claiming to offer up to 50% more living space than traditional yachts of its length, Wally’s 27m (89ft) wallywhy200 also features its first enclosed bridge.

Delivering its own take on the super flybridge yacht concept, Wally’s wallywhy200 motor yacht maximizes interior space with its longer, wider and taller superstructure and sleek bridge deck.

The full-beam saloon uses areas that would conventionally be reserved for exterior walkways to create a 61sq/m (200sq/ft) open-plan living area. Plenty of outdoor deck space and an expansive beach club also create the feeling of a much bigger yacht.

The wallywhy200 can justifiably lay claim to being possibly the most cohesive ‘superfly’ yacht for sale yet. Wally’s first enclosed bridge, encompassing the wheelhouse and sky lounge, is stylishly encased in glass with a 37sq/m (398sq/ft) owner’s suite at the bow. A structural central carbon fiber staircase seamlessly links the saloon with accommodation on the lower deck and the upper deck’s glass-encased sky lounge.

Space and time are two of the most important factors on everyone’s wish list, and I believe we have delivered these in abundance on the wallywhy200.

The ‘superfly’ concept was effectively introduced to the superyacht world in mid-2018 when British shipyard Princess unveiled the X95, a flybridge yacht that maximized space with a bigger superstructure. Ferreti followed suit with its Ferretti 1000 with its all-encompassing flybridge.

Other standout features on the wallywhy200 include a 22sq/m (237sq/ft) upper deck interior and a 100sq/m (1,076sq/ft) main deck interior, all adding up to over 200sq/m (2,153sq/ft) of indoor living space.

Elsewhere there is plenty of space across the 144sq/m (1,550sq/ft) of deck space for relaxation and alfresco dining, whilst fold-out wings expand the beach club to 32sq/m (344sq/ft). Two concealed garages provide enough space to stow a 4m tender and numerous water toys.

"We always strive to push the limits of what is possible in yachting, and in doing so look to pave the way for the next 20 years,” said Stefano de Vivo, Wally's Managing Director. “Designing the wallywhy200 has been a genuinely exciting process. We took a step back and asked ourselves why owners of yachts in this size bracket love spending time on their vessels, and how this could be improved. Space and time are two of the most important factors on everyone’s wish list, and I believe we have delivered these in abundance on the wallywhy200”.

Wally's wallywhy200 provides accommodation for up to eight guests and five crew members and is the first Wally hybrid yacht, optimized for both full and semi-displacement cruising. It has a range of 350nm at 20 knots and a long-distance cruising range of 1000nm at 10 knots.

The wallywhy200 is set to debut at the Ferretti Group Private Preview in Monaco at the beginning of September 2021.
