Interior

At the time of the yacht's construction, the Azimut 85 would have been fitted with a glossy wood finish that was very popular.  This Azimut 85 has been refitted with a matte finish dark wood. Nick considers this to be much more contemporary and in line with current trends, especially when paired with the light upholstery that offsets the darker wood tones.

The saloon features a wonderfully placed dining table and living space with a bar.  The central galley is hidden behind wood paneling, featuring stainless steel appliances and significant cooking space. The galley can be closed off for privacy if the yacht is crewed, or left open for a more inclusive atmosphere.

Moving forward on the main deck, there is a day heads and a small seating area next to the helm.

Forward, stairs lead down to guest accommodations below deck. There is a VIP cabin, one double and a twin. The guest cabins are well-appointed and each has en suite bathrooms and ample storage.

The owner's cabin has its own private stairway, emphasizing the exclusivity and luxury of the space. This cabin has a very large footprint, ensuite bathroom with his-and-hers sinks, and walk-in closet, all indicative of the yacht's generous accommodations.

On Deck

The cockpit area features a large overhang that provides ample shade and a lovely seating area that looks out across the water.

Side decks lead to the foredeck, where there is a pleasant seating area and sunbathing spots.

Moving up to the large flybridge, there is a bar area, dining space, and an upper helm position. Also featured is a crane for dinghy storage, which allows for flexibility in terms of what water toys can be carried.

Crew Accommodation

The crew area, which is currently being used for storage, is accessed via the bathing platform. The crew cabin has two beds, a hanging locker, and a wet room with a toilet and shower. Also the laundry facilities are shown and another storage area that can be converted into additional crew quarters for two if needed.

Performance

The engine room houses a pair of powerful Caterpillar C32 Acert diesel engines, each with 1,800 horsepower. These power the yacht to a top speed in the high 20s (knots), giving a cruising speed of around 24 knots, and a range of about 350 miles at cruising speed, which can be extended by reducing speed.

In Summary

Nick reiterates the yacht's feeling of size and luxury beyond its 85-foot length.
