On Deck
One of the features highlighted was the bow thrusters, which help to push the boat sideways. He was also intrigued by the stabilizing fins on the boat, which pivot and push against the water to keep the boat steady. This feature is particularly useful when anchoring in a bay.
The yacht also features a stern thruster and a hi-lo platform, which can lower into the water for launching a dinghy or for swimming. This was found quite interesting and functional. There is a large cockpit area, which he liked for the ample shade it provided as well as the increased size of the flybridge.
On the flybridge there is a bar and BBQ area, with plenty of seating. Nick liked that it could convert to a sunbathing area, making it a great space for relaxation.
Interior
The yacht's saloon area is linked directly to the cockpit, a design that flows rather well. He appreciated the practicality of having a fridge in the saloon, making it easy to grab a drink while enjoying the cockpit. He also found the glass storage touch quite a nice addition.
The yacht's dining area was separate, which is a great space for indoor dining. Opposite the dining area was a galley fitted with a full floor-to-ceiling height fridge freezer, plenty of storage, a dishwasher, ceramic hob, and an oven.
The yacht's accommodation was well thought out. Noted were the VIP cabin's large windows and sufficient wardrobe space and it was a pleasure to see each cabin had a separate en-suite, making it convenient for nighttime use. The yacht also has a crew cabin, which Nick noted could also serve as a private space for teenagers.
One of the standout features was the full-beam master cabin, which was found to be very classy with its satin-finished wood and massive picture windows. He also appreciated the practical and aesthetically pleasing finish on the top of the cabin and the ample drawer storage space.
Performance
The yacht's engine room houses Volvo Penta D13-900s, which was noted were very well-engineered and easy to access. Also appreciated was the good lighting in the engine room and the well-placed fuel tanks.
In Summary
Overall, Nick found the 'Princess 60' to be a "really neat boat" and seemed to enjoy the tour greatly.
