Interior

The Princess Y72 has a galley-aft layout, featuring a big lift window that provides a seamless connection with the outdoor area. The interior has a silver oak wood finish, which is new for Princess yachts. The galley offers ample storage space, including a full-height fridge freezer, a separate freezer, and soft-close drawers for cutlery and other items. The cooking facilities include a Miele hob, oven, extractor fan, sink, and dishwasher.

The saloon area has twin-tone headlining above, a bar area, and a 55-inch TV that can be conveniently controlled with a button. He praises the hi-fi system, which is attractively displayed and easily accessible. The helm area features new helm seats with wood detailing and diamond stitching, reminiscent of Aston Martin or Bentley designs. The helm itself includes Raymarine screens, a Böning system for controlling various boat systems, and controls for the Seakeeper gyro stabilizer. The side door provides direct access from the helm to the exterior of the yacht.

Descending to the lower deck, Nick reveals the distribution panel, simplified due to the Böning system controlling most boat functions. The lower deck includes a washer/dryer with additional storage space above it. The VIP guest cabin impresses with its size, storage options, and ensuite facilities. There is an emergency hatch in the ceiling, leading to the foredeck, and highlights the attention to detail in the cabin's finish and storage compartments.

Nick showcases the day head, which is shared by cabins two and three, and demonstrates the easy access to engineering areas for maintenance. Cabin three offers flexibility in bed configuration and a great view. The cabin also provides access to engineering areas and shares an ensuite with the day head.

The master cabin is accessible via a separate stairway and features a comfortable seating area, a TV, shelves for storage, a dressing table with power sockets and USB ports, and an ensuite with twin sinks, mirrors, a rainfall shower, and a separate toilet. This cabin offers ample storage, including drawers and an access panel to engineering areas.

On Deck

The yacht has a hi-lo bathing platform with a lift capacity of 550 kilograms, making it suitable for a decent-sized tender. There is an increased walkway space when the platform is lowered, making it easier to move around the boat. Nick shows a storage locker accessible from the back, which is large enough to hold a couple of sea bobs.

The main deck is open and spacious, and includes a seating area at the back with a folding table for dining. He demonstrates the docking station at the back, which allows for easy control of the engines and thrusters while berthing. The powered winches facilitate docking and securing the yacht to the dock. Pointed out here are a safety locker equipped with electric bilge pumps, manual fire extinguishing systems, and stops for diesel supply.

Nick explores the forward area of the main deck, featuring a seating area with a great view, a small workstation, and a button-controlled power sliding mechanism to transform the bed configuration in cabins two and three.

Performance

In the lazarette there are two generators, a hatch to the cockpit , Seakeeper stablizer and hydraulic systems.  In the engine space are MAN V12 1650 engines, which can produce a speed of up to 35 knots, with a slow speed range of 1500 nm.

In Summary

Throughout the video, Nick expresses his admiration for the yacht's design, finishes, attention to detail, and the practicality of its features.
