Interior

Nick explored the interior, praising the uplifted design over the previous model. He was particularly taken with the contrast between the dark smoked eucalyptus and silver oak finishes. The interior layout here is very versatile, with options to include a wine cooler or a bar area. He praised the galley aft layout, with plenty of storage space and a dishwasher. There were also substantial cold storage options and increased accessibility to the boat's mechanical systems.

In the VIP guest cabin, Nick admired the double hatches for skylight and ventilation, large windows, and generous storage spaces. He noted the bathroom could also serve as a day head and be accessed by the third cabin, which he found surprisingly spacious for a yacht of this size.

Nick was impressed with the master cabin, which offered either a chaise longue or a breakfast table as owner-specified options. He particularly liked the detailing on the cabin's shelving and the en-suite bathroom.

On Deck

There is a larger hi-lo platform aft. There is also a beach club feature, which included a foldaway seat and a barbecue.

On the flybridge, the helm seats and the switchgear design are impressive. He found the seating area comfortable and practical, offering excellent visibility and a great social space. He noted the options for a bimini top or a fixed hardtop and the versatility of having either a sink or barbecue on the flybridge.

Performance

In the engine room, the neat engineering is praiseworthy and the optional shaft drive or IPS drive. The engines are Volvo Penta D13-800s, giving the boat over 30 knots flat out, cruising range at 250 nm.  He found the accessibility to the boat's mechanical systems, including the hydraulics, trim tabs, hydraulic bathing platform, and battery charging systems, to be excellent.

In Summary

Nick was thoroughly impressed with the Sunseeker Manhattan 55, praising its design, versatility, and quality of engineering. He particularly liked the contrast in the interior finishes, the spacious cabins, and the accessibility to the boat's mechanical systems. He also appreciated the yacht's beach club feature, the generous flybridge, and the neat engineering in the engine room.
