Zeelander Boats History & Heritage

A relatively young shipyard, Zeelander Yachts was founded in 2002 in the Netherlands by Sietse Koopmans, an entrepreneur and boating enthusiast with an unusual concept in mind:

Yachts “composed entirely of curved surfaces so that regardless of which angle the sun shines on the hull, you see something new and inviting”. After more than five years of intensive R&D the first model, the Z44, was launched at the Monaco Yacht Show. Since then more than 30 Z44s have been produced. Two larger models have followed in its wake: the Z55 in 2015 and the Z72 in 2019.
