The Vela e Motore 2015, held at the prestigious Arsenale of Venice, brought together industry leaders, yacht builders, and enthusiasts to celebrate outstanding achievements in the world of yachting. The Motorboat Of The Year category showcased an outstanding selection of models that captured the industry's finest achievements. The title was claimed by the Sundeck Yachts 550, earning recognition for its excellence in this category. The event was open to everyone, providing an inclusive and celebratory atmosphere to honour the year’s most acclaimed yachts.
The 550 was the winner of the Motorboat Of The Year in 2015 at the Vela e Motore.
The Sundeck 550 collects valid solutions and winning ideas in a 17-meter hull with a refined aesthetic, with a hull that is versatile for different speed needs. The trawler aesthetic lines are dictated by the primary function of seaworthiness: imposing vertical bow, high sides, low aft edge.
Maurizio Zuccheri's Studio has created a convivial boat from the stern to the driving console with a split aesthetic, which integrates the large windows well. The teak interiors are very voluminous, thanks to the significant width of the 5 meters: modular and designed to offer up to four guest cabins plus that of the sailor, optional. However, there is still plenty of space for storage or for two washing machines, such as a travel boat.
A mature vehicle, practical with simple solutions, such as dividing the dockside area, from boarding water, functional with awnings or draining deck water. A modern trawler that well represents Made in Italy with interesting performances and with a stabilizer for extra comfort.
Combining charm, safety, space and good sailing skills make the Sundeck 550 a complete shuttle for a sector that has seen many innovations in the last period.
