Amels
Amels is the luxury arm of mighty Dutch shipbuilder Damen. While Damen builds commercial and military-spec vessels, Amels is pure luxury with a range of yachts for sale that include custom and semi-custom models.
Amels’ parentage allows it to build full custom yachts of up to 200 metres but is best known for its highly regarded Limited Edition range, built on known and proven technical platforms from 55-83 metres. All designs come from Tim Heywood, defined by long bow sections and low superstructures.
The technical areas on board the Amels Limited Edition yachts are standard, however the interior fit-out is fully custom. The decks are deemed ‘semi-custom’ with owners given the option to adapt and add elements such as helipads, Jacuzzis, balconies and sea terraces, as well as superstructure modifications such as a full-width bridge.
Giving the customer a mix of custom and platform build techniques reduces delivery times to three years or less. With over 30 Limited Edition yachts launched already, there looks set to be no let up in production any time soon with an extensive range of Amels yachts for sale.
