Design & Construction
Designed around a semi-displacement GRP hull and superstructure she features a 6.4m beam and a 1.67m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 98 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Exterior Design
The stern features a cockpit with a teak sole, incorporating a swim platform that is accessible via a hinged door on the starboard side. This area is thoughtfully equipped for fishing, with a backing plate for a fighting chair, glass live wells, rod holders, and tackle storage. Access to the crew space and engine room is through a watertight door, ensuring safety and convenience.
The aft deck is designed for ease of use, with boarding gates on both port and starboard sides. A settee and a custom wood table provide a simple yet effective layout for relaxation and dining. An aft deck bar with a refrigerator simplifies access to refreshments without having to enter the yacht's interior. The flybridge is accessible via a teak and stainless stairway located to starboard.
Moving to the foredeck, there is a straightforward anchoring system featuring both fresh and saltwater washdown connections. Stainless fender storage on the bow rails adds a practical touch. The side decks, appointed with teak, offer functional access to and from the aft, with additional boarding gates for flexibility.
Interior Design
The main salon features custom satin cherry wood with gloss accents, complemented by chrome hardware. This space includes an L-shaped settee with custom fabric and two club chairs for comfortable seating. A port aft bar provides storage for liquor and wine, while a 55-inch Samsung TV is housed in a cherry wood cabinet with an up-down lift. The salon also includes a stainless steel grab rail overhead for added safety.
The galley is equipped with granite countertops and cherry wood cabinetry. A large island with storage is positioned midship, and the space includes GE Monogram stainless steel appliances, such as a microwave, cooktop, oven, dishwasher, and trash compactor. An LG refrigerator/freezer is also available. The galley features custom teak flooring with a holly board, offering durability and ease of maintenance. An electric up-down partition and sliding door can separate the main salon and galley from the rest of the vessel.
The helm area houses a full suite of Furuno navigation electronics and includes a stainless steel ship's wheel. Two Stidd ultra-leather helm chairs provide comfort for the captain and co-captain. The helm is equipped with Glen Denning electronic engine controls and includes hydraulic bow and stern thruster controls, as well as AC and DC electrical panels. Wing doors to port and starboard offer easy access to the exterior.
Accommodation
The 44 North offers accommodation for a total of six guests in 3 suites comprising an owners cabin, 1 VIP cabin and 1 twin cabin. The yacht features a full-beam master stateroom, located amidships, equipped with a king-sized berth. This master suite includes two separate walk-in closets on the starboard side, providing ample storage space. The master also boasts an en suite bathroom with a separate shower, ensuring privacy and convenience.
In addition to the master, the yacht accommodates guests in a VIP stateroom with a raised centerline queen berth and cedar-lined hanging lockers on both sides. The VIP stateroom is accompanied by its own en suite bathroom. There is also a twin stateroom, featuring an en suite bathroom, which provides additional guest accommodation options.
The crew quarters for up to two are located at the stern of the yacht, accessible via a watertight door. These quarters include captain’s accommodations with a queen berth and an en suite bathroom, ensuring the crew remains comfortable and ready to serve at all times. The crew area also includes a galley equipped with necessary appliances, including a fridge, cooktop, and microwave, alongside an L-shaped settee.
