Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 11.5m beam and a 3.4m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 1,347 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Launched in April 2015 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in July 2015.

Exterior Design

Almax's steel hull and aluminum superstructure form the backbone of a six-deck maritime structure, boasting a gross tonnage surpassing 1,463 and a fully loaded displacement of 1,170 tonnes. This vessel's bold design features large glass expanses that enhance both visibility and onboard natural light, contributing to the yacht's commanding presence.

At the forefront of Almax's design is a prominent bulbous bow, a contribution from Unique Yacht Design, which asserts a noticeable profile in the water. The vast glass, cutting a diagonal line across the superstructure, serves a dual purpose of aesthetics and functionality, allowing for panoramic views and a flood of daylight into the interior spaces.

The yacht's sundeck, spanning approximately 685 square meters, is finished with a synthetic material by Bolidt, which successfully emulates the look and feel of traditional teak decking, commonly found on luxury vessels.

Almax's massive transom door transforms into an impressive beach club when deployed. Complementing this feature are side doors that reveal a port-side garage, home to the 8.5-meter custom tender, and a starboard workout area adjacent to the steam room, further enhancing the yacht's utilitarian sophistication.

The vessel's exterior also includes practical features, such as wing stations for the bridge and anchor handling operations, a fixed foremast, and clamshell doors for efficient provisioning. These elements underscore the yacht's operational excellence and adherence to pragmatic design principles.

Almax stands as a striking example of contemporary yacht design, where form and function coalesce to create a vessel that is as impressive in its performance and utility as it is in its visual appeal.

Interior Design

The aesthetic is contemporary, with rounded and oval forms softening the straight lines to create an inviting atmosphere. Light and dark woods, such as bleached oak and macassar, are utilized consistently throughout the yacht, establishing a coherent visual theme that guides guests through various maritime-inspired spaces.

Copper is integrated into the design in various forms. It appears as linear patterns on bulkheads and as highlights within marble floors and furniture, providing subtle yet distinctive accents.

The main staircase is an example of the design's sophistication, where a "kelp forest" is represented on the lacquered walls, and the video wall is encircled by bubble motifs. In the owner's suite, a shoal of fish motif disperses across the bed, while in the VIP cabin, cloud formations are depicted above the sleeping area. These design elements are executed with finesse, avoiding any sense of visual overload.

Within the owner's bathroom, white marble sourced from Turkey and finished with a veneer is prominent, with the oval tub providing a focal point that ties the room together. Custom-designed furniture by Focus Yacht Design complements the overarching theme, as seen in the round table near the saloon's entrance that reflects patterns on the marble floor and mirrors the ceiling fixture's style.

Natural light, augmented by architectural lighting, plays a significant role in highlighting the yacht's design features. Details such as cross-stitches on leather panels and copper leaf on the ceiling are illuminated to emphasize their craftsmanship. The upper saloon serves multiple functions, including as an onboard cinema, its spaciousness accommodated by ample lighting and the presence of a white grand piano and one of the yacht's six bars.

For entertainment, the center of the sundeck has been transformed into a climate-controlled, glass-enclosed area dedicated to games. This space features multiple screens integrated into the walls, offering an interactive experience tailored to guest preferences. The custom software and installations in this area underscore the yacht's commitment to providing a sophisticated, yet engaging environment for entertainment.

Accommodation

Almax offers accommodation for up to 12 guests in six suites comprising an owner's cabin, a VIP cabin, two double cabins and two twin cabins.

Central to the guest accommodations is the master cabin. This suite serves as a private haven for the owner, offering expansive quarters that include a dedicated sleeping area, sitting space, and abundant amenities tailored to the highest standards of luxury.

The crew cabins for up to 17 are crafted to provide a comfortable and functional space. Each cabin includes modern amenities such as bedside hook-ups for charging devices and individual screens.
