Due to be delivered in 2025, Ice 68 is a 221'6" expedition yacht for sale built by AES Yacht. The yacht's exteriors have been penned by Hot Lab, while Sinot Yacht Design has designed her interiors.
Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement steel hull and a steel / aluminium superstructure she features a 42'8" beam and a 10'8" draft. The yacht is built over 6 decks with an internal volume of 1,780 GT (Gross Tonnes). The design also incorporates a heli-pad.
Exterior Design
The yacht boasts a commanding profile, defined by sharp lines and bold angles, evoking a sense of strength reminiscent of military precision. Its deep gray hull contrasts strikingly with a pristine white superstructure, creating a visually arresting aesthetic. Throughout the vessel, dark vertical glazing and slender rectangular windows add to its styling.
The side profile of each deck is marked by angular drop-down sections, allowing ample natural light to flood the interior unimpeded. Slim guardrails elegantly demarcate the boundaries, ensuring safety without obstructing the panoramic views. The transom, cleverly contoured, sits low to the waterline, enhancing the yacht's sleek silhouette.
Atop the yacht, the navigation and communication masts are discreetly positioned on a raised shelf above the sun deck, minimizing their prominence. The spacious bathing platform astern features split-level staircases flanking a central pool and sun lounging area.
Moving forward, wide walkways are partially sheltered by stylish angled rises along the side profile, ensuring comfortable access throughout the yacht. The upper deck aft offers an expansive seating area furnished with L-shaped sofas and occasional tables, leading to fully opening glass doors unveiling a circular dining space.
Interior Design
The interiors of the ICE 68 exude a modern and sophisticated ambiance, characterized by a refined neutral palette. Warm tones of cream and brown dominate, accented tastefully by occasional splashes of ocean blue, adding a touch of serenity to the atmosphere. Textured walls, adorned with fluted fabrics and intricate design panels, lend depth and visual interest to the spaces.
Marble takes center stage in the bathrooms, exuding luxury and refinement, complemented by sections of fluted wooden ceilings that add a sense of warmth and elegance. Every aspect of the interior design is meticulously curated, emphasizing clarity, cleanliness, and sleekness, with no superfluous surfaces or unnecessary adornments.
Dark wood floors provide a striking contrast to the cream and beige hues of the cabins, enhancing the sense of sophistication and richness. Wall-mounted furniture adds functionality without compromising the overall aesthetic. Natural materials such as cotton, linen, and muslin are thoughtfully incorporated, infusing the interiors with a sense of natural comfort and tranquility.
Accommodation
Ice 68 offers accommodation for up to 12 guests in 7 suites comprising an owners cabin, 3 VIP cabins, 1 double cabin and 2 twin cabins. She is also capable of carrying up to 19 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (3516C) 16-cylinder 2,000hp engines running at 1600rpm, motor yacht Ice 68 is capable of reaching a top speed of 14 knots, and comfortably cruises at 12 knots. With her 42,664 gallon fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 5,260 nautical miles at an economic speed of 10 knots. She has been fitted with stabilizers to increase on-board comfort when the yacht is at anchor, particularly in rough waters.
