Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement aluminium hull and superstructure she features a 27'3" beam and a 7'2" draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 291 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Exterior Design
The exterior design of Impetuous is distinguished by its classic lines and robust build, which are characteristic of Burger yachts. The yacht's wide passerelle not only ensures ease of access but also accommodates wheelchair users, underscoring the yacht's commitment to accessibility. Enhanced by sturdy stainless steel railings, the passerelle offers secure passage for guests boarding and disembarking.
On the aft deck, guests are greeted with generous space suitable for alfresco dining and socializing. This area is well-appointed with a mix of bench seating and individual chairs arranged around a high-gloss table, providing a comfortable outdoor experience. The substantial boarding gates on either side of the yacht, along with additional side gates, allow for versatile access points from various docking arrangements.
The main salon can be accessed through a powered door, which opens to reveal a spacious and well-crafted interior. On the bridge deck, the yacht's exterior continues to serve its functional purpose with side access doors that offer practicality for crew movement and wind protection for guests enjoying the outdoor spaces.
The sun deck is equipped with a crane and storage for a tender or jet skis, demonstrating the yacht's readiness for water-based activities and exploration. This deck also features freestanding furniture, providing a customizable space for relaxation or entertainment.
Moving towards the bow, the Portuguese Bridge and forward deck areas are designed for both operational needs and guest enjoyment, with additional seating and storage options.
Interior Design
Upon entering the main salon, guests are greeted by a spacious and elegantly appointed area where soft, ambient lighting complements the traditional woodwork. The ceiling showcases a tasteful contrast of tones, adding depth and warmth to the space. Ample storage is discreetly integrated into the sideboards, with a television that rises for entertainment purposes, ensuring a blend of functionality and aesthetics.
Adjacent to the salon is the formal dining area, continuing the theme of classic wood paneling throughout. The furniture here is thoughtfully arranged to facilitate a convivial dining experience, and the high-gloss finish of the table reflects the careful attention to detail in the finishing touches.
Moving to the helm, one encounters a fusion of tradition and modernity. The wheel carries a classic design, yet the surrounding updated electronics and navigation equipment provide the necessary functionality for contemporary voyaging. The helm is equipped with a comprehensive camera system and has an adjoining office space, thoughtfully designed to provide the captain with an efficient working environment.
The galley presents a generous layout conducive to professional catering and extended voyages. It features high-quality appliances and ample cold storage, with an adjacent crew mess for practicality. The side access door facilitates crew movement and efficient service to both guest and crew areas.
Throughout the yacht, the use of materials such as onyx for countertops and cedar for closet linings speaks to the choice of durable yet visually appealing finishes. Lighting across the yacht is purposefully designed to be sufficient without being intrusive, maintaining a sense of calm and comfort. The elevator access across three decks is a notable feature that enhances the yacht's accessibility and practicality.
Accommodation
Ensuring the highest level of comfort for her guests, the yacht houses five well-appointed guest cabins, with the capability of accommodating up to 10 guests in total luxury and privacy.
Catering to the principal guests on board, the owner's suite—an epitome of refinement and space—is situated on the main deck. This full-beam stateroom is a sanctuary of tranquility, featuring ample storage, a dedicated seating area, and a meticulously crafted ceiling. The owner's suite is further complemented by a grand ensuite bathroom with onyx countertops, a walk-through shower, and a generous bathtub. Multiple shower heads indicate a thoughtful design, emphasizing comfort and convenience. Additionally, a vast walk-in closet with cedar lining and integrated laundry facilities underscores the attention to detail in ensuring guest satisfaction.
Below deck, the guest accommodation continues to impress with a selection of cabins that are both spacious and elegantly furnished. Each cabin boasts ample storage and cedar-lined closets, as well as generously sized ensuites with large showers to provide a comfortable and serene environment for all guests. The yacht's thoughtful layout ensures that each guest space is accessible and equipped to meet the needs of all individuals on board, with wheelchair accessibility being a notable feature.
Notably, Impetuous provides accommodations for a dedicated crew of seven to ensure seamless service and operations throughout each voyage. The crew quarters are designed to offer comfort and functionality, allowing the team to maintain the highest standards of service for the guests.
Performance & Capabilities
At the heart of Impetuous are twin CAT 3508B diesel engines, each producing 1300 horsepower. This robust powertrain allows the yacht to achieve a top speed of approximately 15 knots and cruise comfortably at 12 knots. For extended voyages, the yacht boasts an impressive range of 3700 nautical miles at cruising speed. When operating at a reduced speed of 10 knots, the range extends to an even more remarkable 5000 nautical miles, highlighting the yacht's long-distance cruising ability.
Impetuous is fitted with quantum stabilizers, which play a critical role in ensuring guest comfort by minimizing the yacht's roll at sea. These advanced stabilizers not only enhance the onboard experience during navigation but also contribute to the vessel's overall stability while at anchor.
Ensuring that Impetuous remains in prime condition, the yacht underwent significant maintenance and upgrades as recently as November 2022. During this period, vital aspects such as the air conditioning system received updates, including the installation of five new air handlers for improved climate control throughout the vessel.
Amenities
In addition, a swim platform is on hand for guests looking to cool off in the sea. An elevator makes the yacht fully-accessible, while air conditioning offers increased on-board comfort. The sundeck is the social hub of the yacht, with a deck jacuzzi for cooling off and an inviting spread of sunpads.
