Design & Construction

Designed around a displacement steel hull and an epoxy composite superstructure she features a 9m beam and a 2.4m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 480 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Construction started in mid 2011. Launched in March 2016 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in June 2016.

Exterior Design

La Passion's exterior design is characterized by a robust steel hull painted in a subdued dark grey, contrasted by a pristine white superstructure. This color division serves a practical purpose beyond aesthetics, aiming to maintain a low center of gravity and a streamlined visual appearance.

The yacht's profile is defined by its well-balanced lines, which were crafted to ensure La Passion presents a timeless elegance in any setting she navigates. The design philosophy was centered on creating a vessel with enduring appeal, featuring contours that are harmonious and proportionate.

Deck spaces on La Passion are generously proportioned, benefitting from the use of composite materials in its construction. The side decks, finished with thick 18mm teak, are broad and uncluttered, providing ample room for movement without sacrificing interior volume. The upper decks employ 16mm teak to further optimize the yacht's stability.

The construction approach taken by Sarp Yacht allows for an increase in interior space without diminishing the expanse of the decks. The aluminum superstructure is supported less frequently than traditional builds, requiring frames every 15 to 20 centimeters, which enhances the overall spaciousness of the yacht.

The upper deck is equipped with a 10-seat dining table that provides a sheltered area for guests to enjoy meals. The sundeck further extends the luxurious amenities with a large spa pool, a well-appointed bar, and extensive areas for relaxation.

The yacht's stainless steel work is robust and expertly welded, contributing to the vessel's overall impression of solidity and well-crafted design. The bar countertop, backlit with a marine motif, is emblematic of the yacht's subtle yet impactful style choices—everything is designed to flow together cohesively without ostentation.

La Passion's exterior is defined by its elegant lines, thoughtful proportions, and expansive deck spaces, all crafted with a focus on durability and a timeless aesthetic appeal.

Interior Design

Designed by Adam Lay Studio, the main saloon invites guests with a calming forest theme, where a brushed steel tree sculpture and glass etched with leaf patterns set the ambient tone. The flooring is custom-made textured green carpet, and the ceiling combines dark leather and wood to suggest a canopy of trees, fostering an environment of tranquil woodland seclusion.

Quality craftsmanship is evident in the choice of furniture from renowned designers such as Minotti, Glyn Peter Machin, and Giorgetti, which is complemented by high-end fabrics from Armani Casa and Rubelli. The furniture is designed for comfort, without sacrificing style. Occasional tables are crafted from dip-galvanized steel, with their natural imperfections intentionally preserved, lined in ash and oak with a dark grey finish.

Lighting within La Passion is both multifunctional and controllable, with programmable mood settings that enhance the overall atmosphere, ensuring illumination is always in harmony with the time of day and desired ambiance. The lighting design underscores the yacht's commitment to providing a serene and adaptable environment.

Dining areas on La Passion are well-appointed, with the upper deck offering a sheltered dining table capable of seating up to ten guests. The main deck’s exterior tables can expand to accommodate up to sixteen for larger gatherings. Both areas are characterized by their generous proportions, allowing for comfortable and sociable dining experiences.

The helm of La Passion is designed for functionality and clear visibility, with a near 180-degree view through an expanse of vertical windows. This provides the captain with an unobstructed perspective for navigation. The galley is equipped with professional-grade appliances and ample space for meal preparation, reflecting a practical approach to the culinary needs of guests and crew.

Accommodation

La Passion offers accommodation for up to 10 guests in five suites comprising an owner's cabin located on the main deck, two double cabins and two twin cabins.

The yacht's owner suite, located forward on the main deck, is a spacious sanctuary designed with a beach theme in mind. The suite features a natural and calming color palette, with sand tones and soft blues that transition from beach to sea. The en-suite bathroom is particularly notable, with pebbles embedded into the floor, providing a unique tactile sensation reminiscent of a seaside retreat. The use of natural sanded marble on the bath and sinks further enhances the coastal ambiance of the owner's suite.

On the lower deck, guests will find four well-designed guest cabins, each one slightly different in size and décor yet harmoniously tied together by the overarching theme of natural living. These cabins provide guests with their own private retreats, ensuring comfort and serenity throughout their stay.

La Passion is also capable of carrying up to 9 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
