Design & Construction
Designed around a full displacement steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 28'10" beam and a 10'2" draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 764 GT (Gross Tonnes).
Exterior Design
The exterior design of Lou Spirit reflects a significant transformation from its predecessor, Hanse. The yacht has been extended by five meters, enhancing both its aesthetics and functionality. The additional length allows for a remodeled stern, which features two symmetrical curving stairways leading from the main deck to a boarding platform. This extension also provides space for a sauna, storage for sports equipment, a laundry, and a shore power terminal. Hidden under the deck is an extending passerelle, and additional tankage has been installed below the floor.
The main deck now accommodates the tenders, launched sideways by sliding cranes hidden in the deck overhead. This change has freed up the upper deck, previously occupied by the tenders and large launching cranes. The result is a more streamlined and organized design. The upper deck itself has been lengthened, now featuring a spa pool surrounded by sunpads at the forward section. A marble-topped bar, shaded by the radar mast, and a lounging area are located at the aft.
The sun deck offers shaded relaxation areas under the arch mast and provides unobstructed views. The outdoor dining area, equipped with a large 14-seater table, is designed for alfresco dining, a popular choice among charter guests.
Interior Design
The interior design of Lou Spirit is characterized by its modern classic style, focusing on functionality and subtle elegance. The primary timber used throughout the yacht is Tanganika nut, complemented by fluted columns that create a cohesive theme across various spaces. Inset panels in different materials and colors are strategically placed to give each area its own unique identity.
The main deck saloon features burl timber, lending it a formal appearance. It is equipped with a dining table that comfortably seats up to 14 guests. This space also includes a notable oval mirror set into the ceiling, crafted from a high-tech lightweight plastic surface that mimics the look of polished copper. The saloon's design encourages interaction and conversation, supported by high-quality joinery work provided by Arredomare by Yachtline.
The upper saloon offers a more relaxed, club-like atmosphere. It is decorated with panels of burgundy Alcantara cloth paired with a cream carpet that features lines in the same color. This saloon is equipped with a 50-inch plasma screen, hidden behind a retractable painting, which transforms the space into a home theater when needed.
Accommodation
Lou Spirit offers accommodation for up to 14 guests in 7 suites. The master suite spans the full beam of the yacht, providing ample space and privacy. It includes a queen-sized bed and a comfortable seating area. The adjoining bathroom features a bathtub and separate shower, along with generous storage space in a connecting lobby area.
The VIP cabin also spans the full beam and offers a queen-sized bed. A comfortable seating area is situated opposite the bed. The bathroom includes both a bathtub and a separate shower. There are two double guest staterooms, each equipped with an additional Pullman berth.
Two of the staterooms feature twin beds that can be converted into a king-sized bed. The cabinet between the beds divides in half, allowing for a flexible arrangement that can accommodate a variety of guest preferences.
