Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement GRP hull and superstructure she features a 22'6" beam and a 4'9" draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 81 GT (Gross Tonnes).
This was the second yacht built on the X76 Loft design. Launched in July 2022 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months.
Exterior Design
Martita's aft section offers a vast beach club area measuring approximately 55 square meters. This design choice is in response to the growing trend of maximizing outdoor space to enhance the on-water experience for guests.
The bathing platform is engineered to lower and facilitate the launch and retrieval of a tender, accommodating a rib of around four meters. The yacht also includes a garage with a lifting mechanism, providing storage solutions for additional water toys or a dinghy. The incorporation of a passerelle demonstrates the yacht's capability to adapt to various mooring conditions, ensuring ease of access for guests.
An external dining area, selected by the owner, further exemplifies the yacht’s adaptability and commitment to bespoke configurations. The inclusion of amenities such as a sink, fridge, and ice maker, along with ample storage, underscores the thoughtfulness invested in the yacht’s design to cater to the practical needs of outdoor entertainment.
The stern winches, designed to rise for operation, are indicative of the yacht’s technical sophistication, facilitating the mooring process with efficiency and precision.
Moving to the upper deck, guests are greeted by a spacious sun deck equipped with sunbathing areas, a bimini, and an outdoor seating arrangement that offers a secluded spot to relax. The yacht’s solar panels, discreetly integrated into the design, provide sustainable energy, contributing to the vessel's autonomy and efficiency.
Interior Design
Throughout the vessel, the woodwork showcases an organic feel, particularly noted in the curved wooden elements that add a touch of elegance to the yacht's ambiance. Ceramic finishes that mimic the appearance of marble are employed to provide the aesthetic appeal of natural stone while avoiding the excessive weight that actual marble would contribute, thus ensuring the yacht's performance and stability are maintained.
The helm station features multifunction displays, including charts and the operating system for the yacht, with all controls within easy reach. A distinct feature is the opaque panel that offers separation from the main living area. At the touch of a button, this panel can be switched from frosted to clear, providing the option of privacy or open views.
The galley, located at the aft end of the yacht, is designed with efficiency in mind. High-end appliances, including a Miele induction hob and ample refrigeration, cater to the needs of fine dining and entertainment. The galley can be opened up to the adjacent outdoor area to facilitate service and interaction with guests, or it can be enclosed to create a more private space for the crew. The thoughtful layout ensures that the galley remains a central part of the yacht's hospitality experience, while also providing the necessary separation when required.
Accommodation
Martita features a layout that accommodates up to eight guests within four well-appointed suites. The yacht has been designed with a keen understanding of the needs of those on board, ensuring a relaxed atmosphere for all.
At the heart of the guest quarters is the owner's suite, which stands out with its generous space and sophisticated design. The suite is a sanctuary for the yacht owner, offering a large bed, ample storage, and a private en-suite bathroom equipped with modern amenities and finished with high-quality materials. The ceramic finishes give the illusion of marble without the unnecessary weight, blending both practicality and elegance.
For additional guests, Martita features one double cabin and two twin cabins, each thoughtfully designed to maximize space and comfort. These cabins are equipped with sizeable hull windows, allowing natural light to enhance the ambiance. Storage solutions are discreet yet ample, with hanging lockers and drawers seamlessly integrated into the rooms. Each guest cabin also boasts its own en-suite facilities, ensuring privacy and convenience.
The crew accommodation includes two berths within a bunk-style arrangement, along with an en-suite bathroom featuring a shower. There is also an additional occasional berth available, which provides flexibility based on staffing requirements. The crew area is equipped with essential amenities such as a washing machine, highlighting the practical approach to the design of the yacht.
Performance & Capabilities
Martita's performance lies in her twin Volvo Penta IPS-1350 engines. These powerhouses, each delivering a robust 1000 horsepower, are at the core of the yacht's mechanical prowess. The pod drive system, with shafts extending aft to the pods, is a deliberate design choice to optimize weight distribution and enhance the yacht's balance at sea.
With these engines, Martita achieves a top speed in the region of 23.5 knots, with a comfortable cruising speed between 15 to 17 knots. Notably, the yacht's hull design is semi-planing, which allows for efficient navigation through the water at various speeds. For voyages where efficiency is prioritized over velocity, reducing the speed to a steady 12 knots extends the range to approximately 1,100 nautical miles offering both performance and endurance for extended cruising.
The generators, integral to the yacht's power system, are strategically placed along the center line, a design choice that significantly curtails noise and vibration, contributing to the serene environment aboard. With the addition of a watermaker, Martita ensures self-sufficiency while exploring the vastness of the seas.
