Delivered in 2024, Oculus is a 37.3m motor yacht built by Turkish shipyard Numarine. Her interior design and exterior styling comes from the drawing boards of Can Yalman, while Umberto Tagliavini is responsible for her naval architecture.
Design & Construction
Designed around a displacement w/ bulbous bow steel hull and an aluminium superstructure she features a 8m beam and a 2.71m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 349 GT (Gross Tonnes).
This was the sixth yacht built on the 37 XP design. Launched in May 2024 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months.
Exterior Design
The exterior design of Oculus is characterized by a raked bow and a clean, streamlined profile. The hull and superstructure both feature a stark white color, while the boot top and below the waterline areas are painted black, creating a sharp contrast.
The main deck utilizes teak material, offering durability and a classic aesthetic. A sun pad integrates with the dining area, optimizing space and ensuring an unobstructed pathway for both guests and crew. A practical bar is included in this section for convenient hosting and refreshments.
The upper deck accommodates a large tender and jet skis, supported by a 3,000-kilogram crane for easy launching and retrieval. The sundeck is designed for outdoor enjoyment, featuring a bar, a sizable jacuzzi tub, a dining setup, and a full grill.
At the stern, an inviting beach club offers a straightforward yet elegant area for guests to enjoy proximity to the ocean in a tranquil setting.
Accommodation
Oculus offers accommodation for up to 12 guests in 6 suites comprising an owners cabin located on the main deck, 3 VIP cabins and 2 twin cabins. She is also capable of carrying up to 9 crew onboard to ensure a relaxed luxury yacht experience.
Performance & Capabilities
Powered by twin diesel Caterpillar (C18) 2,100hp engines, motor yacht Oculus is capable of reaching a top speed of 14 knots, and comfortably cruises at 12 knots. With her 51,000 litre fuel tanks she has a maximum range of 6,000 nautical miles at an economic speed of 8 knots.
