Design & Construction

Designed around a semi-displacement GRP hull and superstructure she features a 7m beam and a 1.83m draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 167 GT (Gross Tonnes).

This was the first yacht built on the Destiny 94 design.

Exterior Design

The yacht's broad beam extends nearly to the outer edges of the vessel, a strategic choice that significantly expands the interior volume while maintaining the necessary side deck width for safe and easy movement around the yacht. This design decision is particularly noticeable in the expansive saloon area.

As you navigate the exterior, the deep bulwarks and high-quality wood finishes contribute to the yacht's sturdy and sophisticated appearance. The forward deck is equipped with essential anchoring gear and sun pads invite relaxation. The side decks, accessible via side doors, lead to various areas of the yacht, further emphasizing the thoughtful consideration of accessibility in the design.

Quintessa's flybridge features additional seating areas, hot tub, bar, an additional helm station, and storage for the tender and jetski, which speaks to the yacht's capacity for entertainment and leisure activities. The aft deck provides ample space for an al fresco dining table.

Quintessa is characterized by its spacious and practical design, which offers her guests a range of outdoor experiences, wrapped in a package built for performance and enduring appeal.

Interior Design

Quintessa features a spacious saloon, characterized by its expansive breadth that extends nearly to the yacht's outer edges, thereby maximizing the available space. The use of high-gloss cherry wood throughout the saloon provides a classic aesthetic consistent with the era of the yacht's construction. The saloon is equipped with a built-in television and an appropriately proportioned bar, reinforcing the vessel's capability for entertainment and social gatherings.

Adjacent to the saloon, the dining area is thoughtfully laid out, offering a substantial setting for formal meals. This space is defined by its traditional elegance and is positioned conveniently close to the galley for efficient service.

The galley itself is outfitted with essential amenities such as refrigeration units, a wine cooler, dishwasher, and a trash compactor. The cooking area is designed to accommodate the needs of a professional crew, providing them with the necessary tools to deliver high-caliber culinary experiences. The provision of a side access door onto the deck facilitates the smooth flow of service and operations.

Ascending to the helm, the raised pilot house is notable for its wooden steering wheel that adds a touch of charm. Modern navigation is ensured by updated Garmin equipment, while the helm also includes comprehensive controls such as throttle, bow thruster, and autopilot, among other communication devices. An adjacent seating area allows for additional crew or guests to be comfortably seated during navigation.

Accommodation

Accommodations aboard Quintessa are thoughtfully designed to offer comfort and privacy for up to eight guests. The yacht features four well-appointed guest suites, each crafted with attention to detail and functionality.

The main deck houses the owner's suite, a rarity on yachts of this era, especially those under 100 feet. This suite is spacious featuring a sizeable wardrobe, a comfortable seating area, and a dedicated dressing space. The ensuite bathroom is equipped with twin sinks, a generous shower area, and separate privacy doors for the toilet.

Descending the elegant spiral staircase to the lower deck, guests will find additional accommodations, including two more cabins located forward. One is a double and the other a twin, each offering substantial room and equipped with their own ensuites, complete with separate showers, adding an extra layer of privacy and ease for guests.

Moreover, Quintessa boasts a second full-beam suite on the lower deck, mirroring the opulence of the owner's suite on the main deck. This full-beam suite includes a cozy settee, extensive wardrobe space, and not one, but two ensuites, each featuring a large shower area and a toilet. This arrangement is particularly unique, offering the flexibility to have two owner-equivalent suites on board.

For the crew, Quintessa provides comfortable quarters that ensure the team of four can maintain the highest standards of service. The crew accommodations include two twin cabins, each with its own ensuite, thereby affording the crew their own space and amenities.

Performance & Capabilities

Quintessa is propelled by two robust MTU (16V2000M90) diesel engines, each delivering 2000 horsepower. These engines equip the yacht with the capability to achieve a top speed in the region of 22 knots. When cruising at a more moderate speed of 16 knots, Quintessa demonstrates efficiency combined with a range of approximately 650 nautical miles, made possible by her substantial fuel capacity of 15,140 liters.

This vessel's semi-displacement GRP hull is designed to provide not only high speeds but also exceptional seakeeping abilities, ensuring a smooth experience on the water. The yacht's mechanical prowess is matched by her practical layout, which can comfortably accommodate up to eight guests across four well-appointed suites.

Quintessa's engineering space is both accessible and well-arranged, with ample height and lighting, which facilitates ease of maintenance and operation. The engine room houses the fuel filters and Detroit Diesel systems, and the yacht operates on a conventional shaft drive system. This straightforward setup underscores the yacht's reliable and sturdy nature, designed to deliver performance without compromising on simplicity and serviceability.
