Design & Construction
Designed around a planing GRP hull and superstructure she features a 24'1" beam and a 4' draft. The yacht is built over 2 decks with an internal volume of 184 GT (Gross Tonnes).
This was the sixth yacht built on the Leopard 34 design.
Exterior Design
The open-style configuration is evident in the generous outdoor spaces, including large seating areas and sunbathing options both forward on the bow and aft deck.
Functionality merges with design on the Walindi, as demonstrated by the large opening top sunroof that allows for an immersive open-air experience.
Sharp lines and a streamlined profile characterize the Walindi's dynamic exterior, which is designed to handle high speeds with stability and efficiency. The Leopard 34's exterior is not just about looks; it's built for performance, with the ability to swiftly transport guests without compromising on comfort or safety.
Interior Design
The interior design of the Walindi is defined by its modern and light aesthetic, emphasizing functional elegance and a welcoming atmosphere.
The main salon is designed to serve both as a social hub and a place for relaxation. It features a combination of LED and natural lighting, which enhances the overall ambiance and highlights the craftsmanship of the interior.
Accommodation
Walindi offers accommodations for up to nine guests across her four en-suite cabins. The Master suite features an exclusive bathroom, providing a private and serene retreat. The VIP stateroom is no less impressive, offering guests a well-appointed space to relax. Additionally, the yacht houses one Double cabin and one Twin cabin, each with a Pullman berth, all of which are designed with a light and modern aesthetic and equipped with high-quality furnishings.
For parties that require additional sleeping quarters, the main deck TV Lounge is a versatile space that can be swiftly converted into a fifth cabin, complete with its own bathroom, offering flexibility and convenience for guests on board.
Crew accommodations have been carefully considered to ensure that up to five crew members can reside on board. The dedicated spaces for crew ensure that service is always at hand.
Performance & Capabilities
Walindi is engineered for speed and efficiency, with three MTU 16V 2000 M91 diesel engines. These 16-cylinder powerhouses generate 2,500 horsepower apiece.
Capable of achieving a top speed of 43 knots, Walindi distinguishes herself in the realm of swift passage-making. Her cruise speed is set comfortably at 31 knots, allowing guests to swiftly navigate between destinations while enjoying the yacht's amenities.
With a substantial fuel reserve of 60,567 liters, Walindi boasts a range of 691 nautical miles at a sustained speed of 34 knots, providing ample scope for extended voyages.
The yacht's planing hull is a key feature in her ability to maintain high speeds with efficiency. This hull design optimizes the vessel's performance by reducing drag and enhancing stability as Walindi traverses through various sea conditions.
