Design & Construction

Designed around a trimaran aluminium hull and superstructure she features a 15.4m beam and a 6.1m draft. The yacht is built over 3 decks with an internal volume of 1,178 GT (Gross Tonnes).

Construction started in late 2002 with the keel laid under the project name 'E-Motion'. Launched in March 2005 this yacht undertook sea trials over the following months. She was delivered to her owners in June 2005.

Exterior Design

The exterior design of White Rabbit is characterized by its trimaran hull configuration, which provides stability and efficiency in various sea conditions. The yacht features a raked bow, enhancing its hydrodynamic performance and contributing to smoother navigation. The deck is crafted from teak, providing a non-slip surface and adding a touch of classic nautical style. The yacht is painted in a clean, white color scheme. The superstructure also matches the hull, ensuring a cohesive look. The boot top and below-the-waterline areas are finished in black, offering a sharp contrast and a sleek appearance.

White Rabbit's hull shape and ride control system were the result of extensive research and development. This focus on functionality does not detract from the yacht's visual appeal. The trimaran's slender hulls offer less resistance, contributing to greater speed and efficiency. Additionally, the yacht's beam provides enhanced transverse stability, making for a smoother ride in various sea conditions.

White Rabbit also features a fore deck crane with a 4.3-tonne lifting capacity. This crane is custom-built and folds neatly below the bulwarks, allowing for the launch and retrieval of tenders and other equipment. The design parameters were executed with precision, ensuring no adjustments were needed from the original plan.

Interior Design

The interior design of White Rabbit is focused on functionality and understated elegance. Sam Sorgiovanni, a Western Australia-based designer, created an art deco theme throughout the yacht. The primary materials used are dark timbers, cream carpets, and beige cut-silk panels on bulkheads and ceilings.

Entering the main saloon from the aft deck, one is greeted by an open-plan area measuring 12 meters by 12 meters. This space is wider than that of a monohull of similar length, providing ample room for guest activities. The saloon comprises a lounge and dining area, separated by stairs leading to the upper deck. Centrally located, a bar offers a commanding view of both sections.

The dining area is versatile, featuring a 16-seat oval table that can be transformed into two circular tables with lazy susans by removing the connecting leaves. These leaves can be stowed in a purpose-built cabinet, allowing for more intimate seating arrangements when needed.

Forward of the main saloon, the galley is designed with practicality and aesthetics in mind. It is finished in dark timber and stainless steel, providing a functional space that also accommodates the owner's passion for fishing and cooking.

The upper deck continues the focus on practical luxury, primarily featuring guest and senior crew accommodations. However, it also includes a karaoke lounge, adding an element of entertainment. The spaciousness afforded by the trimaran design means that each cabin on this deck has views, enhancing the overall experience for guests.

Accommodation

White Rabbit can accommodate up to 18 guests across well-appointed cabins. The guest quarters include seven large double cabins. Of these, three have additional single beds and Pullman berths, providing flexibility for different guest arrangements. Each cabin is designed with ample space and features a central passageway, ensuring all rooms have exterior views.

The owner’s suite is a highlight of the yacht, occupying the full beam of the forward section on the main deck. This suite is accessed through a private study and includes two queen-sized beds, a dressing room, and a bathroom fitted with a spa bath and steam room. Additional amenities in the owner’s suite include a sauna and a small gymnasium, offering a private retreat within the yacht.

White Rabbit also ensures the comfort of its crew, with accommodations for up to 16 crew members. The crew quarters are located in the lower deck of the main hull, comprising six compact cabins. Additionally, there is a large crew mess forward of the main saloon, which features a long table, kitchenette, and study area. This spacious area provides a necessary balance to the compact sleeping quarters, ensuring the crew has a comfortable and practical living environment.

The senior crew and additional guests are accommodated on the upper deck, which includes larger suites benefiting from the yacht's extra beam. This design allows for a central passageway and ensures each cabin has exterior views.
