Maritimo is renowned for its enclosed flybridge yachts and this 17m model must rank as one of its most successful. With three good cabins and excellent decks, it is the enclosed fly itself that stands out, Maritimo delivering a proper upper deck lounge and helm on one of its smallest boats.
In the flesh, a new Maritimo M55 yacht for sale is anything but small - powerful, well-built and meticulously appointed it also offers the same level of interior luxury and cabins as the M60. A spacious salon enjoys the full length of the superstructure with no lower helm to get in the way, the galley is aft and connects well to two aft-facing lounges.
Wide side decks make moving around easy, but there is no forward lounge, not a major omission but something Maritimo could have worked into the coachroof given there is no lower helm to have its visibility affected.

If you do your boating in hot climates an enclosed, air-conditioned upper bridge makes a lot of sense. Then again, it also works if you cruise in colder, wetter climes. So win-win. Add in the fact you can do away with the lower helm with that all-weather helm up top and the gains keep coming. For lovers of wind and sun, there is an open upper aft deck plus a great cockpit and a lot of the glass around the flybridge opens up.
The option of an extended hydraulic platform is worth consideration, particularly as it frees up an enormous aft lazarette that would otherwise take a 3m tender.

The first M55 Black Edition was announced to the press in 2020 and Maritimo started development in 2021. The second generation was launched in 2024 and saw its World Debut at Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show later that year.
