Azimut gives a first look at new Grande 26 & 36 models joining flagship line

The Grande 26 METRI and Grande 36 METRI are set to debut next year as part of its Grande Collection.

Azimut has given yacht lovers a first look at the two new models that will be joining its flagship Grande Collection next year.

The Grande 26 METRI and Grande 36 METRI were announced at the recent Cannes Yachting Festival, where the yard also premiered its flagship 38.2m (125ft) Grande Trideck. The 26 METRI was described as a ‘compact superyacht’, whilst it was revealed the 36 METRI offers the option to choose between different layouts with a ‘distinct functionality for each space’.

Now for the first time, the light streamlined exteriors lines of Alberto Mancini and the iconic interior design of Achille Salvagni that will adorn each model have been revealed.

The preview of the Grande 26 METRI highlights the superyacht style features it boosts, including a spacious Owner’s suite on the main deck, four guest cabins below deck, a partially raised wheelhouse and a completely separate crew thoroughfare. This unusual inclusion for a yacht of this size allows crew to pass unobserved to the crew quarters, which are situated in the bow and can be reached directly from the galley on the main deck.

The versatility that allows an Owner to find a layout to suit their lifestyle is highlighted on the Grande 36 METRI. There is the option, for instance, to make the main deck a social center point by opting for two lounge areas. Whilst the flexibility on dining options include an indoor-outdoor combination on the upper deck or an alfresco veranda that integrates perfectly with the upper deck. The 36 METRI is also available in sun deck or Coupé versions.

The Grande Collection is Azimut’s largest motor yacht range and one which has proved extremely popular. Two of its flagship Grande Trideck models have been delivered with a further nine in build, despite its inaugural model, SHABBY, only making her debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival last month.

Azimut will be hoping 2022 will continue in the same vein as 2021. The Italian yard used the Cannes Yachting Festival to say it never had “anything like the year it had just experienced”, and revealed its order book currently stands in excess of $1billion.
