Benetti goes back to its roots with B.YOND expedition vessel

Italian shipyard Benetti reveals initial details of the first 38m model in its all-new expedition yacht B.YOND range.

Returning to its roots, Benetti has made a surprise turn back to steel to create a trio of compact expedition vessels for its series, starting with the B.YOND 37M.

The first of three upcoming vessels to be announced in the new expedition range is the B.YOND 37M.

Spanning over four decks, the vessel encompasses over 200 square metres of glazed surfaces to truly make the most of every destination. Depending on the speed and navigation mode, the explorer yacht can reach a staggering range of between 5,000 to 10,000 nautical miles.

Powered by a diesel-electric system, SISHIP EcoProp by Siemens, the B.Yond 37M boasts sustainable navigation and a reduced impact on the natural environment thanks to the extensive research by the Global Competence Centre of Siemens Marine.

According to reports from the in house team at the shipyard, the new expedition yacht should have the freedom to visit ports in the Mediterranean, Caribbean and North East America.

More details will be released by the shipyard in late October 2019.
